hey Keely, wow you got 91 on Audit! congrats (i know, its late)

I know you are using Becker for review. How would you compare AUD with BEC? what are the most consternation topics should I focus most on? I know A4 is heavy material, and even Becker say SIM might be from here.

My goal is to just pass AUD. I have finished all reading from book, lecture, and MCQ only once.

not asking for exam disclosures etc..but your previous advices has helped 🙂

    thanks in advance.

Hi Shay! Congrats again on passing REG 🙂 So, I think Becker was very good for Audit. The exam questions are almost identical to the Becker MCQs. The thing that helped me most was understanding A1 and A2. A4 is important but A1 and A2 are the most important chapters because everything centers around audits/reviews/compilations and the opinions. If you can understand the differences between all those and all the opinions, you'll be in great shape. I made my own flashcards for those chapters in order to really understand the differences in all the types of reports and opinions. Some people will say memorize the standard opinion word for word, but that is pointless. Understand what goes into the opinion and you'll be good to go. Overall, I think Becker does a great job for Audit. The SIMs are weird, but they were nowhere near REG difficulty. They are just kind of vague. Try to reason through it, and you'll most likely get a lot of “choose from the list of answers” SIMs. I only had one calculation one. Someone else gave some good advice, to understand your basic journal entries. I recall this helping me through one SIM but I don't really remember anything else about it. And I do mean basic. If you understand a simple entry like how to record a sale on account, you'll be fine. Good luck!

    BEC: (4/2012) 88
    AUD: (5/2012) 91
    REG: (8/2012) 82
    FAR: (1/2013) 78 🙂

Congrats to you as well on passing REG.

Thanks for your help. I will focus my attention on those chapter. Last night I worked on A4 SIMs, and basic journal entries

Most of the MCQ answers are explicit stated in Becker notes, so I though AUD was more like memorizing than like concepts. I have Becker flashcard, but I guess I will make my own. Don't you think most the info in AUD is from BEC, REG. People get just scores on AUD, I just need 75+….lol

Good luck on FAR. Hope to take FAR this window :-).(Because I want my life back!) So I need all the help possible.

I just started studying for FAR…it sucks. I think if you can pass BEC and REG, and you study as much for AUD as you did for those, you will do well. AUD is not difficult, it's just overcoming the difference with studying straightforward stuff in the other exams, then going to AUD where a lot of it is hazy or a judgment call. But I finished the entire exam in about an hour and a half, so it will fly by, and there is no topic that is ridiculously hard to comprehend. Good luck!!!

    BEC: (4/2012) 88
