so i just came back from taking this exam and I hope I can scrape by and pass. The first testlet was not bad, 2nd was definitely harder, the third was easier than second, but harder than first. I guess that means I didn’t do too well on the 2nd one… Anyways I studied using Becker for 10 days and took this test. There were so many mnemonics and many instances where I was like I saw this before what was it kind of deals. I REALLY JUST WANT A 75 and not look at that material again! tomorrow, i will start studying for my BEC. just wanted to share.

Did you previously take a review course on AUD or simply spent only 10 days on the material?

    AUD: 95 (7/14/10)
    REG: 94 (7/22/10)
    BEC: 87 (7/29/10)
    FAR: 95 (8/12/10)

that does not make me happy. I just took my second final exam on becker, scored about ~85% on all the MCQs, i guess i have one more day to review and pray for an easy test.

and props to you preparingforcpa if you pass that test with just 10 days of studying!! I've got nothing to do but study so I've been diligently putting in ~5,6 hours a day for about two, three weeks now.

Just a general question, is governmental auditing heavily tested? It is SO confusing when they get into details regarding that stuff that I just cannot seem to grasp all the little rules and such…thanks!

    FAR: 8/5/2010 - 89
    AUD: 8/24/2010 - 92
    REG: 10/11/2010 - 94!!
    BEC: 11/30/2010

i wouldn't say anything is heavily tested, it dabbles in a lot of the subjects. i felt like far or reg tested some topics heavily, but audits is just the whole thing. good luck joohj.

I studies for 8 days but that was the main reason why I struggled a bit. SImulations were def more or less FAR simulations, so you either know it or not. I'm praying for the magic 75 also!

jesus, i dont know how you guys know everything studying for such a short time…yeah I am glad I took FAR before AUD, i see a lot of questions about financial reporting I would have had no idea on if I had taken AUD first.

Also, to anyone who's going to study AUD, get the gleim testbank. Some questions are kind of dumb, but i think it has every question you ever need to know. Supplement it with an actual teaching course though, like becker/yaeger. I've done probably close to 3000 MCQs for this test thanks to becker & gleim

    FAR: 8/5/2010 - 89
    AUD: 8/24/2010 - 92
    REG: 10/11/2010 - 94!!
    BEC: 11/30/2010

I wouldn't really consider Becker to be that much of a teaching course in comparison to what Yaeger seems to be. But I guess for AUD it is mainly concepts so it leans more towards that style I guess vs FAR/REG.

    FAR 92 - AUD 91 - REG 94 - BEC 86

I feel that the key to AUD is to practice, practice, practice. We did thousands of practice questions at my review course and our professor would point out keys to us in answers and questions. Very helpful.

@preparingforcpa….I thought BEC sucked. I put in about 60 hours the week before the test and thought I knew it pretty well. After the test, I was sure I failed it. But luckily, I got an 87. Ha. Good luck.

    AUD: 95 (7/14/10)
    REG: 94 (7/22/10)
    BEC: 87 (7/29/10)
    FAR: 95 (8/12/10)
