My experience of audit exam was intense and know I failed.

It’s my last part and the only part that I ran out of time due to the research tab. I’m sure that I didn’t nail the last two parts of that question after 1 hour searching.

The MC is not bad, but not easy as well. I felt that each tab is about medium-hard level. I spent 40 minutes on each tab, and marked total 7 questions.

The first sim was research! It’s hard, and no obvious key words. I spent 20 minute on it and gave up.

It really ruined my mood by knowing I lost 6-8 points already. I rushed to the next 6 tabs, 7-8 minutes each. and knowing that I made a lot guess, and two of the tabs were testing the same thing.

I took it and finished in a 2 hours… is tthat a bad sign? I didn't mark any multiple choice and everything appeared to be easy…. minus 2 simulations…

I took it today….finished with 45 minutes to spare….would have been more but I was really reviewing work this test since I had the time…normally I'm working right to the last minute…I feel pretty confident about it….but you know how that goes….ugh. ..the waiting is going to be terrible lol

Anyone comment on financial ratios for AUD??? Worth Studying?? I have a few hrs before my exam this evening…totally freaking out, just got through Becker A6…deciding whether to do a practice exam or just review notes

@ExperiencedAuditor and @cheer222- I took my AUD today also- and it was anything but easy! I'm hope we didn't have the same one. This was my second time taking AUD. I took it in October and got a 74! 🙁

I felt so confident going in today- I knew the material inside out- I knew all the financial ratios, and reports, etc. etc. but I felt TERRIBLE while taking the exam. None of that stuff that I knew inside out- was tested! There wasn't a single mention of any ratio, no mention of the different kinds of IT tests…..and I KNEW that stuff! I'm going out of my mind now. The simulations were a nightmare. One was on derivatives- which aren't mentioned at all in AUD. Totally a FAR concept which I didn't study yet.

I didn't feel especially confident about the MCQ's either. Just tried to do my best.

BUT, when I left the exam in October, I was walking on a cloud. I was so confident and sure that I passed- and landed up with a 74. So whoooo knows????????

Justwannabedone – I took AUD on 2/28/12, I think we had the same sim Q on derivatives – I didn't know why it was there to begin with, nothing in the becker/wiley book that I saw the word derivative as far as I could remember…

unsure97- How did you feel about the rest of the exam?? I'm so frustrated. I found the SIMS so detailed and very difficult.

justwannabedone – each MC testlets I flagged about 8-10 Qs that I wasn't quite sure of… and I already knew I got 7 MCQs wrong because I found identical ones in Wiley/Becker book… that's with a lot of the MCQs that I couldn't find in the Wiley/Becker book, so overall I don't know how I did in MCQs… quite a few I could identify 2 answers being right and I have to pick 1… and I felt SIMs were not very audit related except when asking about the IR/CR/DR or research Q or another 1 SIM.

I want to know how well you have to perform in AUD to pass… How did your score card look for the first AUD you took?? This is my first section…

Both my previous attempts resulted in 74’s where I was weaker in almost every MC category but stronger on the Sims which seems to be the opposite of most other people.

Took it for the 3rd time Monday. Nailed the sims again and thought I was doing solid on the MC’s until I hit the 3rd testlet and it was by far the easiest of any testlet I’ve ever had.

I know this isn’t a good sign but I don’ t know how much I should read into it. Has anyone else been in a similar situation with the final testlet and still got a decent score?

My 3rd testlet in AUD was incredibly easy also…. And I thought I was doing solid on the first two as well. Maybe that's a good sign???

I used Becker and I felt very prepared for the MCQ..if I failed this test its my own fault b/c there weren't many questions that I felt were not in the Becker material…I felt the same way with REG the questions didn't seem to get much harder…maybe its just because we knew them lol…im hoping for a pass..I don't want to study anymore lol
