Ok, so that is what I WISH I could say! It doesn’t seem to make sense that they can’t give instant scores when none of the answers are subjective. I mean, seriously?! I know they weight them, but can’t they just do that ahead of time based on previous results?

I took Audit today and others at the center were taking other exams and knowing that the passed before getting up from the computer and I thought to myself, SO NOT FAIR!

Anyway, now starts the long wait till September 🙁

REG: 79 - October 2012

My whole family shared sentiments of shock when I told them that I wouldn't know my score right after I finished. I agree–if only they could just pop that score right up when you're done. THEY know how YOU did right away, and it doesn't even matter to them a fraction as much as it matters to us!

Apparently 4th quarter is supposed to get a little bit better. I realize that doesnt help either of us right now. Its going to be a long 2 months!

I think the 2nd quarter wasn't too bad with the score release. I mean it sucked that we didn't know when the third week of June started, but once we got to June 20ish they all came out pretty quickly (quicker than people expected I think).

Maybe for the 3rd quarter 2011 (July/Aug window), scores will come out more like mid-Sept instead of 3rd full week of September, but who knows? early prediction says maybe 9/19 ?

My boss (a CPA) has even asked me why we don't get our scores as soon as we finish the exam… Wouldn't that be awesome! Although I think that would make me almost more nervous…

For me, right now with 3 exams going in one window, I'm glad they don't come out till September. But come September, I'm going to be a nervous reck. That week or two will be hell for me. If I pass these three then I'm done!!!

Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....

Interesting enough when you sit for the GMAT you get your grade at least for multiple choice. I know you wait for the writing sectioin but at least you know something. Whats the dealio.

I cant wait for this to be over.

I know! My hubby took the GMAT and he pretty much knew he did ok right as he left…now I have to sit here and worry for 2 months 🙁 I really don't understand the reasoning behind withholding scores…oh well. They aren't going to change it in time to affect me (I hope!).

When I took the GMAT I recieved my score right away for the multiple choice AND the writing section. I took it February 2011.

FAR 4/9/2011: 88 (Becker)
AUD 5/16/2011: 88 (Becker)
REG 7/1/2011: 82 (Becker)
BEC 8/3/2011: 91 (Becker and Ninja)

Under the old format of the CMA exam, you used to get your results immediately after taking it for Parts 1,2 and 3. At the very least, a grade should be given for the multiple choice parts after you take it. And the AICPA (or NASBA?) claims grading will improve by the 4th quarter, but they have given us no indication as to what that means. Improvement could mean middle of the blackout month instead of the end. Bravo.
