Just took AUD…

    I left feeling pretty confused.

    My first two testlets were pretty easy and I felt like I had seen most of the material in my CPA Excel course, Wiley book or cpareviewforfree.com. The third one was noticably harder, but I only felt truly unsure about maybe 4 questions.

    As for the SIMS, that is a different story entirely. I should have listened to the advice to take FAR first because 5 out of my 7 SIMS were all about journal entries! I feel like I did okay, but even on the other SIMS I felt like the material was totally foreign. :/

    Overall though, I would say the best advice I got was to leave myself as much time as possible (at least 2 hours) for the SIMS- I needed every second!

    I hope you pass.

    I take it tomorrow, and the possibility of seeing FAR on my exam tomorrow is gonna crush me. I haven't taken FAR, so that'll be interesting.

    Were you tested a lot on transaction cycles?

    No, not a whole lot which shocked me! I also had spent the last two days memorizing the ratios and I NEVER saw those…

    My advice would be to just review the basics of J/Es in case you see them as much as I did. Accountingcoach.com is a pretty good resource.

    Last time, I took it…I had a SIM related to J/E (it was so easy), but I switched my D/C so I've been writing down basic J/Es and hoping to scan over FAR book related to adjustments, etc.

    Wow I passed! I guess what they say is true – better to feel lost then feel like its too easy!

    Just took audit. I finished over an hour early and had 2 research sims which were easy, I thought. Overall it seemed like a reasonable exam, and having taken FAR before was a plus. However, I'm slightly worried that I might be thinking that I did better than I actually have. I can't wait to find out in a week or so.

    I just took AUD today too, and had only 1 research question. 2 out of the other 6 SIMS were really tough for me, one I absolutely know nothing about, and not covered in Becker.

    Just hope for a 75!
