I just finished up taking AUD. MCQ was a cake walk compared to the Becker MCQs. I feel like I did really well there; I would be surprised if I was below 80% on those.

Simulations were a different story. They seemed to abstract and totally out of left field. The first was a piece of cake, but the remaining 6 were all rather difficult including subject matter rarely touched on by Becker.

We’ll see (in a couple of months) how I did.

took AUD today, MC's were tougher than last time. The SIMS were crazy, did all of beckers, but still felt unprepared for the sims.

I agree on the SIMS. One of them had some parts that were not reviewed well in Becker. Becker touched on it, but apparently not in enough detail. 2 other ones I thought were just stupid. They didn't really test my audit knowledge. Although they were related to audit, I thought they were more relevant to FAR. I felt somewhat comfortable on the rest, but I'm really nervous. MCQs were okay, but I couldn't tell much of a difference in difficulty.

I prepped using Becker and sat for AUD in February, scored a 69. The MCQ's and Sims were absolutely out of left field and I felt completely unprepared – everything was complex, required multiple steps…completely overwhelming.

This time around I used Becker again – pretty much wanted to quit everyday, I felt completely demotivated by my lack of understanding of chapter 4, auditing through the transaction cycle. I am happy to say that the exam I sat for yesterday was a cake walk compared to Becker. I honestly believe this exam is just the luck of the draw. The day of my exam I continuously did the simulated final exams for about 4 hours before leaving the house, by the time I sat for the test I was on a roll and in the zone. What I saw on the exam was nothing compared to what I saw in Feburary. I left feeling confident and am hopeful that I passed this time around. My advice to anyone out there prepping for AUD is to just keep up with the MCQ's. Don't stress over the details while you are studying until you have a complete understanding of the basic topics. When you sit for the exam and you get stumped by a question, take a step back and try to grasp the big picture, and If you can, try to figure out the answer on your own before looking at the available options.

KES510 man I hope I leave feeling as good as you I got a 74 and a 71 my last 2 times smh, I went from becker to Yeager but kept using the becker questions I average about 86-89 on the practice test. what do you suggest to focus on for sims been doing alot of ratios.

I took it this past Monday. I got a 73 during Qtr 2 but really wasn't prepared since I took it 2 weeks after tax season. I studied my butt off for this one since it's the last exam I need to pass.

When I took it during Qtr 2 it was weird because the entire test seemed fairly easy and straight forward. My MC sections didn't get harder but I felt like I killed the Sims. Looking back, I didn't master the material and probably missed a lot of MCs that I should have gotten.

This time around I knew the material from Becker cold. MCs definitely got harder for me throughout the test. So that's a good sign. But like some of you have said, the Sims were CRAZY. I got only 1 research question and almost every sim was challenging. I'm seriously starting to think that the Sims are harder if you do better on the MCs. They're obviously making a lot of changes to this exam and they have the technology to do so, so why not?? Either that or they made Sims too easy for Qtr 2 that they ramped it up for Qtr 3 to help curve easier (if everyone was doing well in Qtr 2, then it makes it harder to separate the men from the boys).
