Just took AUD

    I just finished up taking AUD. MCQ was a cake walk compared to the Becker MCQs. I feel like I did really well there; I would be surprised if I was below 80% on those.

    Simulations were a different story. They seemed to abstract and totally out of left field. The first was a piece of cake, but the remaining 6 were all rather difficult including subject matter rarely touched on by Becker.

    We’ll see (in a couple of months) how I did.

    Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....
    AUD - 39, 48, 56, 65, 68, 73, 76!!! (Finally passed in Oct 2011!!!) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley

    how did you understand chp4 of Becker? It's not about the memorization.. but i think pure understanding of the transactions? The questions on the Becker HW can't really be found in the book. It just seems like you just have to understand. How did you understand this chapter?

    I have all the other chapters down except for 4. Extremely tough for me…

    I didn't read the Assertions by Transaction Cycle and did the HW. I just used what I had learned from other chapters and ended up landing a 70% using intuitive decision making. Good Luck!!

    I took AUD last Friday and I completely agree with you. I felt really confident after I finished the MCQ, but the simulations were a completely different story. I struggled through just about all of them, and really had to guess on the majority of them. I was really frustrated because I did not expect to struggle like that with the sims. Becker's simulations definitely didn't prepare us for those.

    Guys, here's my thought on my last AUD

    Well, I failed AUD with a 74 in the 2nd QTR and I retook it few days ago,

    the one I failed previously, the simulation was relatively easy, based on it has 2 research questions and the rest were like common sense, I scored “comparable” on simulation but I failed becoz of weaker MCQ.

    This time, when i was retaking it, the simulation is extremely hard, my first thought is:

    IF i DID WELL ON MCQ, WILL IT BE POSSIBLE i GET A TOUGHER SIMULATION?

    I wonder if this is the flow similar to the variation of difficulty on the 3 MCQ testlets…

    That is what Im thinking, if you do well on the MC you will get a hard sims.

    MCQ and SIMS are unrelated in terms of difficulty.

    kobebryant168, I just took my AUD. What you said really scare me. b/c I have two research questions, and the SIMs are really easy. OMG, i have a bad feeling now. Did someone have two research questions still pass the exam?

    Well, I got a 74 and I m sure you did better than me on the Sims, so, u should have at least 75

    I did terrible on sims this time 🙁 with only one research question which I ran out of time

    I just took audit today. The sims were ridiculous, even the MCs were harder than becker's lol. The sims were totally out of left field, never expected them to be that detailed.

    My SIMs were relatively easy, I do not think that matters when it comes to pass/fail. As long as you do well on them it doesn't matter what the difficulty was. The SIMs are assigned randomly. I am fully expecting to pass still.

    B - 85 (5/31/11)
    A - 93 (7/1/11)
    R - 87 (7/29/11)
    F - 77 (8/31/11)
