Hey all,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I graduated in May and have finally managed to save enough money to buy Wiley CPAexcel Gold. Im beginning with AUD and am around a week into my studying. My anticipated exam day is 10/1, I just have to get money to schedule it etc. I should have it by next week or so.

How I am using CPAexcel is I watch the lecture, read and highlight the material and then completing the exam questions and proficiency questions.

Heres my questions:

– Im starting to feel like this isn’t enough, that I should be doing more (Flashcards, redoing the exam questions etc.). Do I simply just redo the exam questions a few more times? When? Whats worked best for you guys?

-Often when I complete the exam questions, I get ~70-80. Do I redo them until I get 100%? or do I leave them and come back to them? Whats worked for you guys?

I love this forum and Im looking forward to posting more often.

Here's my routine using CPAExcel:

1. Read the book.

2. Watch the lecture if I don't understand something in the book.

3. Outline the book in Word or by hand; main points.

4. Do all the exam questions, proficiency questions, & the sims.

5. Anything you got any questions wrong, go back and take notes of it in your notes.

6. Move on to next.

The exam has a lot of material so you need to keep moving. Also, leave at least 1 week prior to exam to review the notes in #3 and do a ton of MCQs… they are key to passing this exam.
