I’m going to take the AUD by 8-28-2012. Using becker 2012 and finished chapter 4.

I did some homework 1 time only and only got about 60% MCQs right.

Also I’m not native and having hard time to understand those English on the book.

Will I have enough time to study for AUD??

I feel like a dumbass after I found out I only got 62 for BEC studied 2 months.

I Vincent..do not feel like a dumbass because you got a 62 on BEC. BEC is difficult and honestly there are many curve balls that will get thrown at you with that exam. Actually, all of the exams for that matter. I took BEC in May after studying for 2 months and I failed..I re-took the exam in June and guess what…failed again with the same score I got in May. I know the feeling you have – defeat – but don't let that feeling bring you down. I am currently studying for a different section of the exam and I am scheduled to take it around the same time you are scheduled to take AUD. I am sticking to my plan and not going back to BEC until the fall because I have been studying for this next section for a few weeks already.

Having enough time is really dependent upon your schedule and the language barrier that you have mentioned. For some people that is more then enough time, others it wouldn't be. Everyone really is different, something I have learned on this long and awful CPA journey.

The big thing is just try not to feel defeated by a failing score and don't rush through the materials either because you feel you have to take the exam by a certain time. Work at the pace you feel is best for you.

    BEC - 67, 68, 68
    AUD - 44
    FAR - 40, 50
    REG - 68, 68

    Hi vincentli119

I know how you are feeling with BEC right now… BEC is the work of the devil with a little help of Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein when they were alive, plus a little bit of real kill insect killer. This test is out there to kill your dreams. Fight back and don't let this little rock block your journey.

The way I think is that this is not the first time I flunk a test.

Have you taken FARE or these are your first two tests?

You also mentioned English is not your first language, it isn't mine neither. May I ask what is your first language?

ok… Chinese yikes…. No, sorry, can't help you there. Mine is Spanish.

I do recommend you to first study for FARE, I think this will be your base for all the rest exams. AUD was so much easier second time around because I had FARE fresh in my mind. If you don't come out with a passing grade for AUD…

Please consider leaving those two behind and dedicate 6 weeks to FARE; you will find BEC and AUD so much easier. Trust me.

Hope this helps you. Good luck with your journey!

    Well AUD…

I think that the hardest part of AUD are the sims… They are pretty detailed, at least mine were in both exams. The multiple choice are pretty easy once you understand the opinions, and how to write them bla, bla, bla… All the theory part. You will find again, as with BEC, internal controls covered. So that will be easy because you just studied it.

Work your butt off simulations until you hate them! Then, do some more.

    Guys,

    Am also feeling so miserable.

Just got my score report for BEC 69.

I was so sure of passing 🙁 i was only confused for 2 MCQs in each testlets and i could not finish the last WC.

My report says weeker on WC. I think leaving one WC was a culprit too.

Any ways, i already scheduled my AUD exam on 30, but have just finished 2 chapters till now.

I think am lagging behind and theory subjects are my weekest point.

I am thinking to shift the AUD exam to later but first give FAR in October first week.

    Any suggestions?

This was my first exam, i thought BEC takes the least time of study so started off with it.

Is FAR manageable in these 8 weeks or so…

    @wannabeapro

BEC for me has been the hardest one.

Your decision on delaying AUD and taking FARE first, I believe is the most assertive one. Dedicate yourself to FARE these coming weeks and then take AUD and BEC. If I would have known better. I would have taken FARE, AUD, and BEC in the same testing window.

FARE for me has been the easiest one! It is really what you remember in college. I studied for FARE 6 weeks in total, went through everything twice did all the mc and sims.

Don't worry about BEC, revenge is in the air!!!! BEC is going down!
