AnonymousInactiveCan’t wait to finish my studies for AUD. Plan to take it at the beginning of Jan. 2011. Gonna refine my strategy this time! Good luck on whoever is going to take the same exam in Jan.

I feel for ya! Audit does not make for a fun night. I am taking this week off, so next week I will start on my battle with REG! So far, I have watched Limitless (so-so movie) and now National Lampoon's Van Wilder. I will be joining you next weekend though.
I am definitely revamping my strategy too. Good luck to you too!

AnonymousInactiveIt is interesting that I just posed you a question at the other topic about your Roger's Cram Course for AUD. Maybe you can share your experience here? Does it provide a lot of practice questions? I am thinking about buying additional testing database besides just only using Wiley.

yankeeaccountantParticipantPerfect timing. I only purchased the cram course. I have the Wiley test bank, so actually, this sounds stupid but I have no idea if the cram includes a testbank. I bought the cheapest cram. I only have 60 days, and could view each lecture 5 times. I guess you can get the details on the content from Roger. For an opinion–well, I am your girl! I am not sure where you are at in your exams, but I have FAR and BEC done. It hasn't been a very pretty race, it took 3x on FAR and 2X on BEC. In any case, I have Becker (also Becker Final Review) and have purchased Yaeger cram for REG and FAR. IMO Roger is a breath of fresh air. I could see how he might be irritating for some people, but honestly, he is engaging. His enthusiasm is catching. And to be direct, I needed a bit of that . I have been at this 15 months, so I needed a shot of adrenalin. On another note, I find that Roger's cram are really informative. Out of all the cram type programs I have, his is my favorite. He still manages to teach. And I find his books that accompany the cram have very well written notes. I wish I had found him in the beginning. The thing about Audit, is that Roger was an auditor at Deloitte. So, to me, he is speaking from his own knowledge and he dispenses relevant info on what is really a practice and what is just what we study for the exam. I liked understanding what was really relevant.
Have you tried Gleim? If not, they allow one free trial. I used them for BEC, and I felt like that put me over the edge to pass. Their questions are challenging, but I think they help to understand the concepts better.
Hope that helps!!! Best of luck to you 🙂

Wow. I feel you can read my mind almost. I was thinking about getting Gleim testing bank to get more practice. That will be nice I can have the free trial from Gleim for study my AUD. Pretty much on the low budget now since I have spent a lot of $$ on studying. I will have to take AUD for the 3rd time. The first two time I got the same scores 55. As you can know, I am pretty frustrated here. I had average of 80 to 85% on my practice exam before I took the last exam. I felt pretty comfortable about the exam, but I still didn't passed it. Maybe it was just bad luck. AUD will be my last exam of four, so I am excited and can't wait to move on with my life. I guess I have to drill down more details than last time. I remembered I read somewhere on the blog that Gleim has good sim questions for AUD. I will need a lot of practice on that. I feel Wiley testing bank doesn't have a lot of questions on Statistical Sampling. I think the study notes is very important and it has to be reorganized over your study period since you might find something you didn't see before and want to add it in. I think I studied so much last time and didn't have the energy to finalized my final review notes. I think you can spend as much $$ as you can to buy the focus notes or flash cards, but you should also organize your info in the logical way to you so that you can remember them longer. Good luck on your study, too. Hope to hear your good news soon.

Glad to hear that you have only one exam left. You are practically there–can't wait to be in your shoes. I should get my Audit score next week (this was my third time) and totally feel like I had the same experience. I studied like crazy but my scores didn't really reflect that. I am crossing my fingers, hoping that I put it behind me. Although, the mcq's seemed better, the sims were tough.
I appreciate your comments on the rewriting of notes. I am going to incoporate that for my studying for REG. I do agree that rewriting the notes can make a big difference!
Best of luck to you too!
