I am taking my third section which is Audit and it really seems to me like this section is deceptively difficult. Other sections had more straight forward questions but this section really tries to trick you in every way possible.

agree with martin. audit has been the hardest for me so far. though i am also not qualified to say which is really the hardest because I am getting a master's in taxation and thought reg wasn't that bad. also havent taken far yet. thing with audit is the questions are tricky

I think with Audit you have to approach it logically and do not over think questions. Most of it is common sense. If you remember ARC (Authorizing, Recording, Custody), I believe understanding will become easier. For example, if a person authorizes a transaction, that person should not have access to recording the transaction. But I also believe that with most of the sections.

I can't speak on other materials but Becker questions are more difficult than the actual test so when you actually take the real test, its not too bad. I think we sike ourselves out before we actually take the test. Also with preparing, I believe if you get a MC correct, be able to explain to yourself why you chose the right answer. If you get the right answer and you move on because you got it right but can't explain why, then you are not preparing properly (Just because you got it right, doesn't mean you got it right) I think you should also review why the other answers are wrong. Best to be over prepared then under prepared.

Just a opinion though. I wish luck to everybody

This is what I remember from my college course: The reason Audit could be perceived as the hardest is because of the question format. Historically, most of the answers are correct; however, only one is correct based depending on what part of the audit you are in. It all goes back to the ‘Call of the Question'.

In my personal opinion,

FAR – Hardest to study, but can improve

AUD – Not so hard to study BUT hard to improve. Need to catch what the question is actually asking you

REG - Pass (May/08/2015)
