    Please help !

Just a few days before my taking AUD, I am confused again.

My question is; Is Compilation/Review for Public Company, not for Private, based on which standard ?

To my understanding, for private company, SSARS shall be applied for review & compilation.

And, SAS shall be applied for interim review for issuers.

If so, which standard shall be applied for compilation and “normal review services” (not interim review) for issuers ???

SAS is the one to be applied ???

    Please !!!

I'm already starting to forget this stuff, but I'm fairly certain that it would fall under the PCAOB umbrella.

Compilation and reviews can be for both public and private.

For nonissuers (private ) – SSARS would be applied

For nonissuers interim – SAS would be applied

For issuers (public) it would be PCAOB.

Hope this help and hope im right to as im taking audit on Friday.

    Hi, this is bull.

I checked Becker and confirmed that your comments are correct.

    Thanks.

    The below is confirmed.

    1) For nonissuers (private ), review & compilation – SSARS would be applied

    2) For nonissuers interim – SAS would be applied

    3) For issuers, interim – PCAOB applied

    4) For issuers, review & compilation, – PCAOB applied

    Thanks !!!!

Sooooo, what I'm getting from this is….

For issuers (public) – PCAOB applied

For nonissuers (private) – SSARS applied

    EXCEPT

For nonissuers (private) interim – SAS applied
