I just did my first batch of 90 Wiley MCQ and got a 66%. Is that a good score? I’m using Wiley right now but am switching to Ninja over the weekend cause with Wiley, I can pause a session and come back whereas with Ninja if you exit out of a session it automatically ends the session and grades it.

I think that's right on track – especially if the first time seeing those questions! However, I would strongly suggest not doing sets of 90. For my review, I do sets of 10. Maybe 20-30 closer to the exam, but I would never try to focus for that many questions. I'm sure many others would agree with me on this one.

I agree. Break it up. You'll burn out way too quickly doing 90. I was doing sets of 10 last night, scoring great, then took a full length test. By the end of the test I was sick of looking at it. Little chunks is the way to go. Be sure to look at what you got wrong, understand the concept of the question, then try to come back a couple of days later when you have forgotten the exact answer.

66% is an excellent store on first round, especially since it is also in the beginning of your MCQ'ing.

    No need to worry.

As to the number of Q's to do at a time, I guess everyone's different. There's no golden rule to this. I normally do topic by topic first, and then do sets of 50 or even 100. In this stage I score 60-65%. Once I'm through that stage, I do sets of 30 since I will then not have to wait so long for the score… aim will be to get 70-75%. I keep an Excel tracker so that I can see what my “daily” score was, regardless of how many Q's I did – that helps me keeping track of development over time. Towards the end of the study period, I might occasionally do sets of 90 or 100 Qs in “ninja speed” just to get a quick idea of topics where I still fail… at that time I should be scoring 80-85%.

Dont worry about what you are getting right now, it's the beginning.

As others have mentioned, don't do 90 MC at a time.

Do batches of 20, it's the perfect number. Do 20, if you have time, do 20 more.

The key is to pound one topic at a time.

For Auditing, I saw my scores have this trend while studying.

First time through a chapter's MC about 60%

The next time through, a little higher.

After about 100 MC in that one chapter, I would be around 75%.

After studying 120 hours on Auditing and doing all the MC in Wiley, Gleim, and Ninja, I was getting 85-100% on all sets of 20.

For the last two weeks, I didn't get lower than an 85% on any set, on any chapter. Once you get to that point, it's just a matter of showing up and taking the test.
