Improve Audit Score. Keep scoring low.

The first time I took audit I was not 100% ready and I took the exam right before the changes took effect. I thought I would get a score in the high 60’s but I received a 56. I was shocked, I knew I didn’t do great but I thought I did okay.

So for the second time around I re-read the whole book (the new one), listened to the lecture, I did all the multiple choice in wiley and becker, along with the sims. I made sure to understand the material. I took the test and I felt confident after each testlet that I was getting the answers correct. I even know for a fact I got 4 of the sims 100% I used the AL and found a lot of the answers. So when my score was being released I was sure I would get a high score. And I get a 59. I was sooooooo shocked and surprised. I don’t know what else I could do. I scored weaker in mostly all the topics. How is this possible. During the test I know I got the answers right I even checked some of them at home and I noticed I got them correct.

I just don’t understand what else I could do. I studied so hard and so long the second time around and my score barely improved. I don’t understand how people score 99 for audit it seems quite impossible at this point to pass this exam. Both times I took the exam at the last day of the window. I doubt that has anything to do with me not passing, but it just does not make sense to me. Has this happened to anyone else and they found a studying technique to eventually pass?

Yeah its because Audit is the Devil. See my Sig, I always take my tests at the end of the window too. I would also like advice. Please!

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

Yes mtaylo24 I definitely agree that audit is the devil. I was so sure it would be the easiest of the 4 but was I wrong. I have noticed people get either really high in the 90's or end up repeating it many times with low scores. When I have failed a test I knew going out of the center that I was not going to pass and my feelings have always been correct. I was 100% sure I passed audit when I took it this last time and to score a 59.

I scored a 73 the first time I took audit and then a 74 the second time – both times I was SUPER sure I passed.

Going at it again tomorrow at 8am and hoping this is going to be the magic 75.

Here's the deal though – I recommend that you get the Wiley Test Bank and crank out multiple choice problems. That is what I did this time – I used 100% of Becker the times before – the Wiley Test Bank just gives you new questions instead of the same repeat questions that Becker gives you!

Good luck – I know you can do this!!!!

It seems common to think you pass AUD and fail it more so than the other sections. I feel more confident about my re-take, but if I've learned anything here it's that you can't rely on your feelings concerning pass/fail.

Did you use just the Wiley textbook or did you also use the online testbank? Did you score weaker on all MCQ and stronger on SIMS?

Part of the reason I didn't do as well as I thought on my first attempt was that I simply went way too fast and didn't *really* read the questions. Maybe re-evaluate that and consider adding Wiley online testbank and ninja materials.

Yes those are all good points. I have a habit of speeding through the test as well. However, 59 is a really low score. I used the Becker book and did all of the Becker multiple choice and sims. Then I used the Wiley Test Bank and did all 1000+ multiple choice. I read ninja notes. And I listened to Becker lecture. That is why I felt so prepared and so shocked to see such a low score. I scored weaker on all subjects on multiple choice except for 1 and weaker on the sims.

Thanks a lot for the encouraging words!! I'm really hoping that in this case third time really is the charm.

According to the chart I find out on Nov 1 – so needless to say I'll be anxious until then!!!!
