If it makes you feel any better, I think AUD was the “easiest” test and I scored the highest on it. Of course, none of them are easy but it wasn't as brutal as the others. However, I took it before they changed it in 2011. I think one of the reasons it wasn't as difficult is that it didn't involve calculations but was more conceptual. For me, that just didn't seem as challenging as all the calculations that are on FAR, BEC and worst of all, REG.

If I can't get this REG passed, I'll be taking AUD again and may not have the same attitude about it!

    AUD - 83
    FAR - 78
    BEC - 76
    REG - 86 PTL!!!!!

you can have my REG if you give me your BEC.

should have taken BEC in 2010.

    Good luck on REG!

@goodluck2everyone: I am in the same boat as you. I'll be taking AUD on Tuesday and am just starting A4 (Becker)– I got behind the past few weeks b/c of schoolwork. Keep at it, I've been wired on coffee so much and just keep crunching through the material. It's passing, slowly but surely.

    BEC 86 (08/30/11)
    FAR 84 (10/13/11)
    REG 88 (11/08/11)
    AUD 86 (11/29/11)

I promise you, AUD is not nearly as painful as it may seem. To me AUD and BEC were fairly easy to pass. It's REG that I completely despise with every fiber of my being.

    FAR 88 (07/15/11)
    BEC 83 (08/31/11)
    AUD 81 (10/15/11)
    REG 83 (11/26/11)

@KasiaS: Don't fear REG as much. It is tough, I'll concede that. But if you can manage an 88 on FAR, you can definitely handle REG. Don't get overly involved in the minutia because that will definitely overwhelm you (e.g. don't even bother memorizing all the phase-outs and limits for the various credits–just focus on the major ones). Typically the questions focus on differentiating between adjustments, itemized deductions, and the calculation of those as opposed to obscure credits.

    BEC 86 (08/30/11)
    FAR 84 (10/13/11)
    REG 88 (11/08/11)
    AUD 86 (11/29/11)

Thanks for the advice See Pee A. My practice quizzes were testing the limits/phase outs so I went into panic mode. I'm most concerned about corporate tax because it seems like SO much to digest. I think I have ind tax down fairly well and I'm goof on tax preparer liabilities/responsibilities and I think I can reason my way through most blaw stuff. In short, I'm burned out.

I'm just praying that I somehow scrape up 75 points and just have this mess behind me.

    @kasia

I didn't know jacksquat when I took REG, I guessed on 90% of my SIMs and failed with a 68.

Imagine what I wouldve gotten if I studied =)

    REG- 68, 71, July
    AUD- 61 , 84
    FAR- -- 75 🙂

@goodluck2everyone- I only studied around 150 hours for AUD and passed with an 87. Mind you, I studied 300 hours for REG and still failed. Yes, AUD is not as bad! Best of luck!!

@CPAMan, I followed your REG journey from your posts on this forum and from the sounds of your retake, I think you're done. I hope to walk out feeling the way you did earlier this month. I'm at about the 150 hour mark and will probably put in another 10 tomorrow before calling it quits and accepting my fate. I'd like to review Estate, Trust and Partnership taxation tonight and finish corporate taxation & run down blaw tomorrow. Hopefully the accounting gods will smile upon my weary soul come Saturday morning.
