Also, I am doing weaker on the written part in BEC. Everyone tells me thats the part everyone is supposed to do well on to earn easy points. Any advice on how I can improve the written part?

As is always the next request: tell us about your current study habits to give us more insight. With that additional information, I'm sure you'll get a ton of advice – but it's hard to suggest anything based on the limited information in your first two posts.

For audit I went through all the lectures every time I took it did all the multiple choice questions and then did the wiley questions only for the third time I took the test. I do about 20-35 hours a week. I know almost everything inside out except I am a littl weaker on the cycles, understanding the entity, and procedures and evidence. I basically get killed every time on the sims. Is there a review course that is better then Becker that will help me get this done?

For BEC I redid the lectures and questions twice, I rewrote the BEC Ninja notes. I did terrible on the written. did about the same 20-35 hours of studying a week for 5 weeks.

My last final for school is this week coming and I am free all summer until i start work in the Fall. I am currently studying for REG and take it May 31st using Becker.

I am using Becker. I failed audit on my first try because I underestimated it. On my 2nd try, I scored in the 90's. Here's what you need to do pass, read carefully:

    1. Skip the lectures (you've already seen them once, you already took all the side notes and made all the colorful cute highlites… no need to torture yourself any further)

    2. Read the book, focus only the areas you've highlighted. Once you read a section, do the assigned MCQ's and the SIMS per section (A1, then A2, etc)…don't skip the Ancillary questions! For audit, you need all the MCQ practice you can get!

Becker tends to repeat a lot of the same questions in AUD, maybe not the exact same wording, but definitely the same concept. That being said, as you're going through the MCQ's, mark only the ones that you feel are 1) unrepeated; 2) very difficult and help you understand a concept…you should mark about 50 to 60% of MCQs per topic. The questions you've marked you need to have completely down and memorized.

    3. About 1.5 weeks before your test, you have already done all the MCQ's, and SIMS. This is where your real task begins. Go through every single topic again, and do ONLY the MCQs you've marked during your first round. As you are going through the MCQ's again, take very good notes based on the MCQs you've marked. This task will take awhile and it will be streanuous, so you need to make sure you go HAM on it.

    4. You're done making all your notes based on marked MCQ's from A1-A5. No need to look at Becker anymore except to practice the SIMS and do the Final Exams (do both of them, repeat them until you score in the 80's).

    5. Read your notes over and over and over and over.

    6. Becker is enough to pass AUD. But if you feel you need more practice, get the Wiley TB and practice some more (especially SIMS)

    7. Take your time on exam day. 4 hours is more than enough for AUD, READ the MCQs to avoid making silly mistakes. Leave 1.5-2 for the SIMS and use the research tab!!! No matter how “basic” or “common sense” the Sims may seem, use every single second you have to look for answers.

*P.S. I have the a copy of the notes I took while doing MCQ's. Let me know if you want them.

Thank you so much for the advice! This is what I needed… That is exactly what I will do the next time I take it. i would not mind looking at the notes you have and using them to making my own. What technique did you use for BEC?

hey jenuno01 would you mind sending me your notes, apparently I need some kind of help.

I've taken all 4 parts. The first time thru I was taking Becker classes, I was lucky to get thru all the homework questions once. I really struggled with the concepts and formats of the questions. Now the second time thru I've been trying to get through all the homework questions 2-3 times 2 times fully through 3rd time just the marked questions. The major flaw is probably my lack of work on simulations. I retook Bec at the end of April but now not feeling so great about how that test went. I knew Reg 10 times better the second time thru and it just baffles me I got the same score. And of course NASBA gives you barely anything to go on with what you did wrong. What's your advice to me?
