I own the Wiley textbook, the Becker textbook, and the online Wiley questions. This is my first time being exposed to audit but I’m in a situation where I MUST pass it my first try in a about 28 days of studying. What is the best way to do this for those who’ve passed audit first try with an 85+?

I can probably devote about 70-80 hours or so in those ensuing 28 days.

Sadly, I'm not one of those who passed audit yet, BUT I took it recently…and all I can say is that it was much harder this time around than it was last time.

Last time, I had majority of MCQs that were very very similar, if not exact that were in Becker passmaster. SIMS weren't too bad, and totally doable (minus the J/Es.). I have no idea why I didn't pass:(

This time around, I had about 10-15 MCQs that were similar to Becker, a lot was similar but there were many hard questions. Couple that I didn't even see in my review. I also had one or two IFRS questions in each testlet. SIMS were hard and def. tested my knowledge.

So my advice is to read each chapter in Becker, do all the MCQs at least three times. Don't scan over IFRS stuff and hope you have luck on your side. Last time, I got very lucky…but I wasn't as prepared. This time, I was, but luck wasn't haha. It's totally doable in 28 days, and you will DO it. Good Luck!

I too have never taken an audit class and am taking the exam Nov. 30th. My plan is to watch all Becker videos and take notes. I'm not going to read the book though, but read the final review book regularly instead. I will rotate reading the final review book with the NINJA notes while using the Becker flashcards. I am going to master the Becker MCQs multiple times and then move on to the Wiley test bank.

So far I am almost done with A1 lectures and notes. The topic is BORING. 🙂

There are great suggestions here. I can't emphasize enough the importance of doing mcqs mcqs mcqs and reading the answers…

I think the key with Audit is to truly understand the material and not just try to memorize it. But I am in agreement with everyone else, MCQ's are the key, read and understand the correct answer and I even read the wrong answer so that I understand why its wrong. I think if you can put in the time, quality time, then you will be good to go. Oh and be sure to utilize the reserach feature in the SIMs. I knew the material pretty well, but this did help me find a few mistakes. Could be the difference between a pass and a fail.
