The title kind of says it all. I am scheduled to retake AUD on 10/31 but I cannot seem to force myself to do the work… I am far behind. Chances are I will have to Reschedule this test to a later date, like early December.

Has this happened to many others? I PASSED all the other sections. I failed AUD in Q2 with a 73… But now I am so burnt I cannot do anything I feel like. Someone please help. I have made some theories as to why this is happening.

    1. I scored a 73, and am subconsciously overconfident.
    2. The possibility to just push the test forward is there.
    3. I might actually just be exhausted.
    4. My mom hurdling insults at me calling me worthless, stupid, and telling me my Master’s gives me no value are finally getting to me.
    5. I have lost hope.
    6. etc, other misc stuff.

As of right now, my plan is to finish Becker’s A3-A4 by the 18-19th this month since I feel those were my weakest chapters.. then go back into the full on review using Progress Tests, and Final Review material. I am giving myself until the 23rd to get my S**t together, otherwise I might have to push the test forward for $35, whereas after the 23rd it will be much more expensive.

@ana I see that you pass Bec and Aud on the first try. Any tips/suggestions on how to pass those on the first try? . I hope I can have those out of the way :(( It would be a miracle indeed. Thanks you too! 🙂

Bec was the only test I would say that had tricky MCQ on the exam. It was my 1st test so I was full of energy and hope. I only had about 7 weeks of studying with full time work. I just listened to lecture, did mcq, and about 300 practice mcq. I didn't study sims, keep in mind this was pre change. I was studying with my husband so it was nice to be able to help each other out on our weak points. I don't have many tips for BEC bc it was pre change and I had such little time for it I did the bare minimum (never took notes or anything extra). I like to think I willed a pass on that one. I do recall having a template in my head for sims, there's some great ones on this forum. Aud was also easier for me bc I was an auditor for 2 years and as a staff auditor had to write those letter for 50+ clients a year and had them memorized. I took Aud with about 6 weeks of studying with full time work and with the same format as Bec, which was lecture and mcq. I was getting between 85-100% on progress tests so even though I'm thrilled to pass I'm very surprised I got a 75 and not higher (not complaining though, I'll take 4 75's anyway!!!). I also enjoyed studying aud since it all words and I'm not a math person at all (hence 3 fails in Far). For those two tests, I think if you can focus for a short period of time you can pass them. BTW, I used the AL during the audit sims to help. I seriously think 99% of the problem with BEC is falling asleep during lecture since it's about 12,425 formulas and then being lost on mcq. We just have to figure out how to listen to it.

also do you still have Becker? The only notes I've used is theirs and just add my personal notes around the bullet points.

As I'm thinking about my study patterns I have these pointers as well: don't get stuck on any one module. Always keep it moving, guess mcq if you have to, look at the book for help, use whatever resources you have to move through the material. with aud and bec and full time work, aim for one chapter a week (2 w/o work). I like to go through all the material once and see what is easy/had for me. Then work progress tests with all the material and see how you're scoring. you'll see where your weak points are and work on those a bit and then go back to mixed mcq. I just do that over and over again for a week as review until D-day. Now with the sims bearing so much weight, I'm using the blueprints to study those sims during the week of review beforehand.

@ana I definitely agree on the tricky mcq for BEC and plus all the materials are so random so it's kind of difficult to see the big picture in studying BEC. Haha and you are right about falling asleep. I watched the Becker video before the new format and I think I was gazing off half of the time lol. So now I skipped the videos and just go over notes and mcq. I don't have Becker anymore since I cancelled and got Roger instead. I did like BEC more before the new format and with the new SIMS and DRS for BEC , it's like freakin @$#($#$. :(. I see I like your pointers! I think those are useful tips. So that would mean you would not do random MCQ but do mcq for each chapter separately even through D-Day?

I'm being a brat and exaggerating the number of formulas, but there's way too many to count or remember. I'm looking into memory drugs.
