Hi,
I failed AUD with 73 and I wonder how I should plan for retaking the exam. I’ve studied for 6 weeks and studied with Roger CPA review like over 100 hours diligently everyday.
I was so confident that I passed when I walked out Prometrics because i could solve the questions in 3 hours. they were not super complicated. I really do not know what to do to pass the exams.
I watched all Roger lectures with solving all MCQs and Sims. Took notes and read them over and over again.
I did not read the textbook though.
My only guess is my testlets were too easy so that I had to get more corrected answers? Or I did not read the questions carefully? How should I study the materials? Any suggestions? How long do you normally study to retake an exam? I cried on the subway. I was out from the office and was super sad and surprised that I did not pass.
Please help me.

Hi Matt,

Thank you for your sincere advice. You make me cry. I think getting a comfort from someone who is going through the same path (CPA) is different from someone who is not like my family or friends. They have a limitation to understand me 🙂

Sorry to hear you failed audit, you’ll get it next time. I failed audit twice before passing so I know you’re struggle, but you’re not far off. I would recommend personally drilling 100-200 MCQ a day. Reviewing and understanding what you got wrong. Focus on weaker areas, do MCQs on those areas until average comes up. Also, I would probably reschedule it 3-4 weeks and take it soon since you’re not that far off and it’s still fresh. Keep your head up and good luck on the next attempt, you’ll get it!
