I used Wiley and Ninja for FAR and Passed. But can’t afford Wiley for $800. Can Ninja alone work?

I'd love to hear feedback as well. I have Roger, supplemented Ninja for FAR and wondering if I should get it for AUD too.

I studied AUD with a 2016 edition Wiley CPAExcel borrowed from the library and Ninja Sniper. Scored 91 … more than enough!

I took AUD Dec'2017 so I tested using the new exam concept even though the book I used to study is written before the 2017 exam update. If you're like me who need a textbook to understand the topic before answering MCQs, you can get 2016-2017 edition fairly cheep at Ebay. Ninja is current, so that helps take my worries.

I should add I'm over 40 years old, work full time in a non-accounting field, and a single mother with 3 kids. Last time I touched an auditing book was more than 25 years ago.

Wow @tncpa 91!!! I always feel like I shouldn’t listen to people that score of 90 because their brain is so much bigger than mine. I like to take advise from 75-85 people 😂😂😂😂

Lol! Thanks I guess. 🙂 🙂 🙂 But I'm not advising you in anyway, I'm just saying Ninja Sniper was more than enough for me (supplemented by an older Wiley review book).

I just found out I passed auditing. Here is what worked for me:
44 Gleim practice tests and 100 simulations. Go through the questions and write down the information you were missing that prevented you from getting the question correct. Document the information by chapter and sub-chapter. Only after having done most of these tests, start reading the book for any “supplementary information”.
I ended up getting weighted score on the rehearsal exam of 83, while getting a 77 on the actual exam.
    I have 0 accounting/tax/auditing experience.

I do not have auditing experience, never been in public accounting. I use Gleim. Its MCQs and SIMs work for me. I don't like its outlines, but I read Becker book for my study supplementary. Practice MCQs and understand the concepts. Make notes for comparison and contrast of some concepts. Because I work full time and sometimes over time (auditor came for this year's audit), I studied 8 weeks. About 3 hours from Monday to Friday and 8 hours on weekend. Took three days off and stay at home to read my notes and did a few MCQs. Must practice the AICPA Sample exam!!!
