How to answer questions regarding your performance on the exam?

I took my Audit exam on Wednesday, August 31st. I felt I did OK. I think I guessed on about 5 multiple choice questions. I had no clue regarding one simulation, but l felt I did ok on the other 6. It wasn’t easy but I’ve been studying hard.. This was my first exam and I didn’t know what to expect.

Anyway, when I went back to work on Thursday, everyone asked me how I did. I told them I felt ok and that it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be.

I think I got lucky because my “weak” areas were not tested.

After I thought more about it, I was regretting that I told everyone that I thought I did ok. Did I speak too soon? Perhaps I should have just said it was sooo difficult rather than saying I did ok. Now, if I don’t pass, I’m just going to feel like a dork.

How have you handled questions regarding your performance on the exam? If you felt good about it, did you express it?

I think everyone is under the impression that I passed.. I’m regretting I even mentioned the exam to my co-workers. I should have just kept it a secret… 🙁

    I am superstitious so I

    * Haven't thrown out my books from Audit because I think its bad luck

    * Answer the question of how I think I did by saying “cautiously optimistic”

    * Haven't really though about the answers on the test and don't want to think about it because its over (as hard as that sounds to do)

I learned that my first part of my exam (FAR) and I had everyone asking me if I got my score and did I pass. I felt it put pressure on me for the test. The second test I didn't openly mention it to people and rather had them mention it to me.

initially i took time off from work and told my co-workers i was taking the exam and that was the only thing that they would talk to me about till scores were released. i just told them i think i did ok

now i only schedule exams on saturdays, also hate wasting PTO on these stupid exams.

my co-workers never ask me about exams anymore, i'm sure they know i'm still studying cuz i'll whip out my books and study at work and if they ask i'll just tell them i don't know when i'm going to schedule the next exam
