i dont remember a thing from my audit class in college and I feel like Becker is doing a terrible job explaining things.

I watched the lectures, read the book, rewatched the lectures while taking extensive notes, memorized all my notes and I score 40s on the home work…

    wtf?

i feel like im studying foreign language

    FAR - 76*, 73, 85
    BEC - 69, 72, 78*, 80
    AUD - 72, 71, 90
    REG - 71, 74, 85

    AFTER 3 YEARS I'M DONE!!!

Just wait for Chapter 4 and the transaction cycles, you think its rough now just wait. That's when the big WTF moment hit me haha. Seriously, audit isn't all to bad its just hours upon hours upon hours of note taking, studying, and practicing MCQ. Understand the concepts at all costs, there are to many ways the exam can trick you if you go by strictly memorization. If your exam is in one month I would recommend either purchasing the Ninja Notes and Audio as they're great supplimental products and just start hammering away MCQ. My AUD retake is in 3 weeks and I'm taking one more week of note review and then non stop MCQ and SIMS. You got this man, just sit down with your snacks and coffee or energy drinks and plug away!

    AUD: (65)(66) 77
REG: (66) (48) destroyed me mentally.....
    FAR: (68) (66)(69)(71)
    BEC: (63) 75

    FAR - 76*, 73, 85
    BEC - 69, 72, 78*, 80
    AUD - 72, 71, 90

Take advantage of the fact that Auditing is, in quantity, less material than FAR and REG, one of which you passed. It gives you more time to concentrate on less chapters. I didn't use Becker so I can't speak to that, but practicing tons of MCQs is never a bad idea. Even when you get questions wrong, you learn from the reasoning why.

Take heart. You and I got the same score on FAR. Hopefully you can do what I did with AUD.

I have only covered one chapter but I have flashcards that contain 70 percent of the material in that chapter. I memorized most of the flashcards and was scoring in low 70's my first time around with problems. I can tell this section is about memorizing all of this boring material. For me flashcards is the best approach for memorizing.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

Just keep working the questions over and over and over. Write your own notes. Put things in your own words. I never took Audit in college. There was no auditing in the 70s and 80s. (That's a joke, and as good as it gets with Audit.) Learned a bit by doing it and learned the rest from Becker. Sometimes I watched a lecture, did the homework (or most of it) then re-watched lectures in things I didn't understand, which was a lot of it.

A lot of it is jargon and arbitrary GAAP rules and you just have to memorize it. Good luck!
