Not even close…FAR has about twice as much information to study. But I still think one should put at least 150 hours into studying for AUD compared with 250 hours for FAR.

AUD = a sunflower seed. FAR = Soup, salad, appetizer, Porterhouse, Potatoes, bread, broccoli, and chocolate lava cake.

    Licensed Florida CPA:
    B: 71, 73, 79
    A: 83
    R: 78 (expired), 77
    F: 74, 74, 80

    It's finally freaking over.

@Gatorbates, you forgot to mention the dried fish and grilled squid on your salad and cake.

If Audit is a sunflower seed and FAR is a 5 course meal, how do REG and BEC compare?

Actually, can we just keep it simple. How much more material/effort is FAR compared to each of the other 3. I just spent a TON of time on FAR and am not planning on spending much less for any of the other sections. Does this mean I should feel significantly more confident in the other sections?

    FAR: 86
    AUD: 88
    REG: 85
    BEC: 84
    DONE!

It's debatable (and depends on what your study course highlights), but in my opinion REG is marginally less topics than FAR, but in more depth and with more exceptions.

If you're basing test difficulty solely on quantity of material to be learned (not personal strengths, etc.), then compared to FAR, you should feel more confident about AUD and BEC, but NOT REG. Regulation was a lot to study, and a very difficult exam. I got questions that required knowledge of very specific rules on both multiple choice and simulations.

Can't you just compare the size of the books? The FAR book looks 40% bigger.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

REG is a lot of material, but depends on your strengths. I have a much easier time with REG because of the tax portion and business structure. However, business law eats my lunch for some reason, and takes me forever to get through. My first sit for REG using Becker I did not give myself any time to review (Fail), and the second time felt fairly easy when I focused on calculations (Pass). My crutch has been BEC, but I have yet to sit for FAR.

    CPA EXAM: DONE!!!!
    Ethics Course: Passed
    Application Mailed: 3/16/15
    Professional Conduct Exam: 97
    Certification Date: 4/2/15!!!
