Not a cram situation, looking for what people generally do when they have been preparing for 1-2 months and feel fully prepared and confident.

I like to just skim through all of the text once. It's good to see everything one more time before the exam. You'll get a few really random questions on the exam and you won't be able to answer them unless you have very recently seen it.

Becker final exams in the morning. Rest of the day – flip through books/my notes/ninja notes/aicpa questions.

Yeah, I wouldnt recommend Becker final exams the morning of your exam. They are hard and mentally draining. The 3-4 hours of MCQ and SIMS from your actual exam will be tough to get through if you are even a little bit tired. Just go light on the morning of your exam.

    Not to mention discouraging.

Hahaha word, I would not take a final exam unless it was like two weeks before test day- definitely not the day of. I had a friend who was so anxious she got a 40 on the practice exam the day before FAR and freaked out- she passed with an 80 but that anxiety will not help you.

    FAR 4/9/12- PASSED
    BEC 7/13/12- PASSED
    AUD 8/16/12- Ughhh 71, Rematch: 90!!!
    REG-12/6/12 PASSED

    USC MAcc- Fight on!

They say good things come to those who wait, but only those things that are left by those who hustle.

Can't believe it's been so long since I was last on here, but just felt like contributing to something I spent a lot of time on last fall.

I would look through a few areas you want to review. Definitely NOT everything. That will just overload your short term memory and probably stress you out. Assuming you're adequately prepared, just look over the few things that you feel would best be helped by a quick refresh. Do a problem or two, read through the rules again (even though you know them by heart). Just to boost your confidence and calm yourself. The day before the exam, most important thing is to clear your mind. Sometimes the panic of feeling like you forgot everything will make you do just that. Remember to be clear and focused so you can think since not everything will look exactly the same and you'll have to be able to recognize different concepts in forms that may be slightly changed from what you're accustomed to seeing. Good luck

    BEC 86 (08/30/11)
    FAR 84 (10/13/11)
    REG 88 (11/08/11)
    AUD 86 (11/29/11)

Just to clarify, I do a quick run through the final exams only as review for mcqs the day before not the morning of. Also, I don't look at the scores to encourage or discourage myself, it was more of a refresh.

I try not to do any studying the evening before, just relax and get a good night of sleep. Given that I have yet to pass a section, maybe not the best choice.

Studying is a mental game. There is nothing wrong with over-preparing even the night before. I know my situation doesn't apply to you, but I studied 12 hours yesterday before taking the test today haha. (yes I was cramming because I had to)

    B - (4/2012)
    A - (5/2012)
    R - (1/2012) Done!
    F - (10/2011) Done!

I plan to do a quick flip through the most heavily tested sections of my handy-dandy NINJA notes for a little short-term memory boost. That's really it. Anything more than that would be draining and detrimental, I think. And I'm getting a good 7-8 hours sleep, no matter what.

A full night's sleep > partial night's sleep + desperate cramming. Although 12 hours of cramming would be a good boost to your short-term memory, IF you can handle it mentally and physically.

    BEC - 88
    REG - 87
    FAR - 86 - Woot, all done!

a lot of people ^ said really helpful things.

personally, i just like to go through my notes/ninja notes/whatever short versions of problems i had trouble with beforehand…

just to refresh my memory, i read it as many times as i can the night before

also a couple times before the test (i will be taking it in the afternoon).

i get to the test center like way early too (1 hour early) because i m a freak.

i review in the test environment so i dont spazz during the test.

I don't have my test till 5pm tommorow (Reg). I will be going over Blaw chapters for a refresher for about 4 hours in the AM. I will then drive to the test center way to early (just in case of some stupid situation like a traffic jam) and sit in the parking lot with my notes for about an hour.

    Good luck to everyone!
