    Hi,

I know it sounds really silly to start this thread since it depends on each person on how they grab their knowledge and how fast they can absorb these stuffs? Everyone is different. But I just want to have a general ideas on how many hours you guys seriously put in your time and pass this…( “Serious” I mean when you really put your 110% percent of focus on studying and nothing disturb you. I usually lock myself in the conference room and that is where I find my focus.:-) I don’t really count those hours when I hold my Ipad and do the Ninja MCQ and NFL Preseason is turned on so I can get ready for my Fantasy Football Draft right after my exam at the end of this month.

SO AGAIN the question is HOW MANY HOURS YOU SERIOUSLY PUT IN to PASS THIS AUDIT EXAM? Thanks.

Can also ask 1 more questions? How do you find your focus of studying for like 4 hours straight? I can’t do it. 3 hour is the max I can go before my mind start flying somewhere else. I want to get that feeling so I can get ready for the Exam. Please help. !!!!!!

As many as you need. You should feel comfortable that you know all you need to know going into the exam. If you don't, study more.

You should know if your exam is in 2 weeks or 4 days if you are prepared or not.

For me, I felt prepared after studying audit for 100 hours. No distractions. Hard core studying.

I give it 100% for about 30 hours and 75% for another 10 to 20.

That was two of the longest weeks of my life.

I logged 110 hours of study time for AUD and seeing as how I passed with a 75, it was literally just enough for me. AUD is by far my weakest area, though, both education-wise and experience-wise, so it required more hours of study time for me than either of my previous two exams.

I'm the same as you with maximum study time per session. I can't do more than 3-3.5 hours before I start to forget everything I look at, so I don't even try anymore as it's not productive.

    Good luck!

About 60 hours of study plus 30 hours lecture – Becker both online and live classes. I can't focus much longer than 2 hours, so my study sessions are built around my attention span. I won't get my score until Aug 21, but I feel good about my chances of passing.

    Hi,

It is funny since I cannot usually do it for longer than 3 hours, however, when I go to the exam and starts getting into that beast mode, I somehow able to pull it off. Hope that I can do that again for this Exam.

I have 2 more weeks to go. I hope I can go for another 50-60 hours seriously studying and luckily pass this. Any ADVICEs on what I should do??

My firms are usually really slow on Monday and it started picking up the pace throughout the week and then it gets slow down till the weekend. Thanks fellow. Appreciate all your advices.

I am an overstudier, evidenced by my scores. But, I don't really like going into an exam and feeling like I failed only to be stressed out until I get a passing score. So, I overstudy and normally will walk out pretty confident that I passed. I have put about 75 hours into AUD so far with 2.5 weeks left to go. I am also not messing around with this one because if I fail, I lose credit for REG.

I used Becker … I just watched the videos while going through the chapters (only 6), and did the MCQ religiously. Got all of that done in the first 70 hours. Then the next 20 hours, I spent re-reading my highlights/notes I took from watching the videos, and the last 10, I got the free 24 hour Wiley Test Bank … and crammed with different questions. It's always good to switch study sources at one point in your studies, just so you know you aren't memorizing the questions. As far as SIMS, I did not study one SIM. Ever. For any section. I figured if I knew the material and MCQ's, the SIMS would take care of themselves, which they did for the most part.

I finished the AUD exam with 2 hours to spare. I think that's because there are no calculations. You read the question, and you either know it, or you don't.

I put in around 120-130 hours, but I was pretty inefficient about studying for AUD. I would study for half an hour, get distracted by something on the Internet for half an hour, and… well, rinse and repeat.

I played video games while watching the becker videos.

    I did maybe 120 MQ's.

I've been an internal auditor for 4 years (no public).

I took it today, walked in prepared to fail, and pretty sure I passed.

@JamesBJames Curious, so then when you say 120-130 hours, was that the time you spent focused, or including the time you surfed the web, etc.?

    FAR- 90
    AUD- 95
    REG- 10/12 (tentative)
    BEC- November TBD
