Hey all, I’m taking AUD next Tuesday, I feel relatively well prepared, but I guess I’ll find that out when I get there. I was wondering how long it has taken people to finish the auditing exam? I’m averaging like…30-45 seconds on the practice MCQs.

I’ve heard from one guy at Becker that he had a student finish the entire exam in 2 hours or something like that. I actually don’t think that’s that insane, especially if the difficulty of the exam is similar to the MCQs I’ve seen. So, my question is: are the questions on the exam comparable to the questions on becker/gleim? And how long has it taken you to finish the exam?

    FAR: 8/5/2010 - 89
    AUD: 8/24/2010 - 92
    REG: 10/11/2010 - 94!!
    BEC: 11/30/2010

They call AUD “the exam with the least material tested and the most time given.” I completed it within 2.5 hours and I toooook myyy tiiiime.

Yes, the questions are very comparable to what you have practiced. I have trouble with some of the mc my first time (74), but felt like I nailed it on my retake. Waiting on my passing score. Anyway, time is not an issue on this exam. On my retake, I blew through the mc and had about 2.5 hours left for sims. Spent longer than I should have on sims, but still finished with about 17 minutes left. I only used the time because I had it. I all but took a nap during the second simulation. Spent probably 30 minutes on the first wc. Just wanted to make certain I passed this time. I will be in shock if I failed.

    AUD - 74, 87; BEC - 84; FAR - 78; REG - 79

    @msm3579 – wow!!

@joohj – I think its all dependent on the person. I finished BEC in about 95 minutes and took breaks between each section. I also reviewed all of my answers twice. I'm the type of person that reads a MCQ and either knows it or doesn't and moves on. I finished FAR with about an hour left as well and think I did well on it.

    FAR 7/2 - 88
    BEC 7/30 - 87
    AUD 8/27 - 80
    REG 11/12 - 96

I had 3 hours left for my sims.

However, your score doesn't increase if you finish the exam early.

Take your sweet time for the sims and use the research tab as much as you can (very time consuming, but I had plenty).

    FAR - 7/26/10 - 95
    AUD - 8/10/10 - 88
    BEC - 8/31/10 - 88
    REG - 10/15/10 - 95

thanks for the advice…yeah i finished FAR w/ about 30 minutes to spare, I really really want to know how I did on it, but I'm sure everyone else is waiting as well!

I'm looking forward to getting this thing finished fast, so I can enjoy life even for a couple more hours!!

    FAR: 8/5/2010 - 89
    AUD: 8/24/2010 - 92
    REG: 10/11/2010 - 94!!
    BEC: 11/30/2010

Yeah, it all depends on what type of test taker you are. I'm usually a fast test taker, but used all of my time on BEC and Reg.

I finished AUD with 2 hours to spare and went through each question 2 times (and some 3). I had ~30 mins left on FAR. If you really know the material, timing isn't an issue.

My advice is to go into the exam with a pace in mind, and if you are ahead of pace, more power to you. More time to review your answers.

    AUD: 95 (7/14/10)
    REG: 94 (7/22/10)
    BEC: 87 (7/29/10)
    FAR: 95 (8/12/10)

I just took Audit yesterday. I took about an hour 45 min for the MQ (very leisurely, went back to review my work) and then spent the entire rest of the time on the sims. I'm glad I had so much time, because I was really stumped on the first communication and was happy to have the time to use the research tab for it. I completed the exam with one minute to spare and I did take a break.

Maybe I was a little slow… but I did catch a bad cold the day before and was probably not 100%. Funny, they only let me have 2 kleenex at a time (that they provided) and I had to hand over them after I was done in exchange for 2 more… I guess they thought I was going to write down test questions on them?!

    BEC - 5/24 - 83
    FAR - 7/17 - 88
    AUD - 8/22 - 89
    REG - 10/15 - 84 - DONE!
