I studied for 2 months for audit, used becker, took all the notes, rewrote the notes on flashcards, and did tons a MCQ’s like usual. My test questions felt like they were hard, but I felt that I knew them, and I was under the impression that if your testlets are hard, that means you did well on the previous one. I thought the sims were fine as well besides one or two of them. To my surprise I got a 50!?!?!?!?! This is so shocking to me, has this happened to anyone? I feel quite demotivated.

    FAR - 67, 85
    AUD - 50, 68, 79 I'm DONE!

I am wondering the same thing, but with FAR and had a similar test experience. It almost feels like they just completely skipped even grading mine because I hadn't skipped anything…

Hang in there, pal. We'll get it. I am right there with you.

    B 71 - 79 EXPIRED
    A 69 - 75 EXPIRED
    R 65 - 48 - 45
    F 56 - 61 - 65 - 64

Ouch. I've been there with AUD. I thought for sure I had rocked it on my first attempt, and I failed. My biggest mistake was finishing 2 hours early and thinking I had “logically” answered the SIMS… AUD is 4 hours long, which is more than enough time to finish the exam. Please take the time to review your testlets before going on and use that Research Tab as much as you can.

I know exactly how you feel. I studied the same way you did and made a 50 on audit my first time, then a 58, then a 70, then a 72. Every time I studied like I was starting over except the time I made a 58, only used a cram course to retake that one. I am currently studying it again and hopefully I will nail it.

I always looked at people that got scores around 50 and laughed to myself saying it was dumb for them to take that test because they were obviously so unprepared…to say the least, I have a new appreciation/sympathy for those scores. Its definitely tough to accept a score like that. I appreciate all the feedback, good luck to all.

In AUD, it's very easy to make careless errors. There's a reason why they give you a lot of time for the exam. It's very important to read each question very very carefully because one word can change everything.

The good news is…. it's very easy to improve upon this by just simply practicing lots and lots of MCQs until you throw up.

    What I recommend

For the MC, don't just pick the first answer that seems right..pick the best answer..even if it takes time to really figure it out.

I am a fast test taker but I spent almost all four hours (3 hours and 40 minutes) on the exam.

    Also, read the question carefully!!

I know that feel, bro. I put ~2 months in FAR and got a 69 yesterday. Now I have to go into AUD with no momentum next week.

Hang in there, and let's f@#$ing doing this thing. 2012 is ours.

I'm in the same boat. Me and AUD clearly don't click. I'm struggling to stay focused for REG and then FAR in April. I've got about 4-5 questions from that exam running through my mind right now. I think I'm going to have to try to study for 7-8 for weeks Audit, unfortunately. I'm thinking 150-200 hours. I don't know, it's baffling me right now. I haven't been close TWICE. Switched to Yaeger, admittedly ran out of time studying, but I felt 3x better than the first time around. UGH.

    Starting all over.

    FAR - 11/27/13
    AUD - 1/4/14

I think not looking at the question hard enough was probably my downfall. I finished with about an hour and a half left if I remember correctly. I was pretty focused on making sure I had enough time for the simulations, but took the test pretty fast. Welp, here's to doing better next time.

    FAR - 67, 85
    AUD - 50, 68, 79 I'm DONE!
