1.Sales Clerk – initiates posting to inventory records by reparation of shipping advice – DEFICIENCY
—is this because the item has not been shipped, just prepared to be shipped?
2. Book Keeper – Authorizes write-offs of customer accounts but does not post to sales journal -NO DEFICIENCY
—-i thought this would have been a deficiency because it was a book keeping stating the account could be written off, but is this not a deficiency because they are approving the write off, but not posting it? So, there is a segregation between authorization and reporting?
3. Book Keeper – receives customer checks and posts to cash receipts – DEFICIENCY
— is this because there is not a separation between custody and record keeping??Any help would be appreciated..
