Hi all,

I am preparing for Audit that is scheduled in 12 days from today and gave me 20 days since I appeared for FAR. I will lose BEC if I delay Audit section. This is my third attempt with audit so I am fairly comfortable with the material. Should I go ahead and sit for Audit or delay it? I need your guidance because we need to wait until December 19 for the results.

what was your last score for aud? if you were close you can do a refresher and sit for it. I think I'd take it to give it another shot to try and save BEC.

When is your 18 month window over for BEC? Have you asked if you can get an extension for any reason?

I'd take the exam.

Best case: you're done
Worst case: you need to reschedule an exam in a new window
If you wait: you need to reschedule anyway.

Is that correct or did I miss something.

What are you doing different this exam and how are you trending on MCQ and sims?

@Ana My interview went well considering your suggestions. In Audit, I got 73 in Q1 attempt and 70 in Q2.

@M123 my 18 months window gets over on November 5 which is the 18 month since I had sat for the BEC. I am in CA and as we discuss in this forum, the chances are low that they extend it. I have changed my testbank this time and I feel that I am comfortable with the material. Trending 65-70 to 75 range for mcq.

so so happy to hear!!!! get that job and my next #1 rule is to (almost) always negotiate the starting salary.
your aud scores are good. I say take it before Bec expires. I think you'll pass.

@Ana I can feel that you are an amazing person, student, and professional. I feel positive and hope that I progress in the recruitment process further. I sent the interviewer thank you email in the evening of the same day and planning to hand write a note to her. I have got the strength to give audit soon now.

thank you so much. literally makes me want to cry (so emotional with this test and feeling not good enough). if this job doesn't work out, keep trying. no doubt you'll land something. my husband was a HORRIBLE interviewer, like never got the job (lol I know it's mean but I can't help but laugh). I know he's intelligent, detail orientated hardworking and a good soldier to have, whereas I like to be the general. Anyway, after 2 years of me telling him what to do to get the jobs he finally listened after seeing that you have to practice for them. Now he gets 99% of jobs too. Interviewers love him and it helps that he's super nice. I didn't mention this since you were low on time but really consider making a portfolio with a theme (mine is travel, my husbands is cars). Doesn't matter if you're a new grad or mid career but have a bound portfolio with a goal statement, resume, hobbies, personal mission statement, samples of work (reports, excels, work papers), transcripts, accolades, etc. We take that to all interviews and the people are so impressed and curious they almost always stop their generic boring questions and just listen as you flip through the pages and explain your background, education, work experience, etc. I swear it works like a charm. I've been updating the one I made in college from 10 years ago. I use the theme of travel to bring my point to, life is a journey, blah blah blah, and tie it all together.

@Ana I believe that you are a really nice person and definitely you will pass this exam soon. I can feel from your posts that you are already a successful professional and you have such a bright future. Many of us are suffering because of Q2 mess. For interviews, I realized that practice and communication skills are very important. At the same time, learning from my own experiences and taking guidance from people like you and finally, luck plays important role in getting an offer. As per my professor's suggestion, I thought about who I am as a person and how can I add value to the firm I am interviewing with. That really made me feel confident about myself. I will definitely start making portfolio as you have mentioned. Because that will again help me to think about myself and my goals.

take a XANAX or a handful before the exam. Helped me get an 81 in BEC. after 2-74s back to back . the doctor gave them to me—– before all the prudes on this website jump down my throat
