Help me figure out where I went wrong.

    Greetings fellow test takers!

I took AUD back in August and got a 60 (Yaeger homestudy, Wiley Testbank). Fair enough, I can honestly say I didn’t give it my best effort. I picked up the pieces and got ready to give it another shot.

During the entire month of November I watched the lectures again and took fresh notes. I worked just over 1,200 MCQ and supplemented with Ninja Notes. I felt like I was much more prepared this time and went into the test feeling like I had a reasonable chance at passing.

My estimation couldn’t have been further off, got my score back today and I got a 57! I’m completely dumbfounded as to where I should go from here. I felt like I put myself in a position to have a shot at passing and I’ve somehow managed to go backwards. How do I form a more effective study strategy from here?

Thanks for the input! Sounds simple enough, I'll try something similar to that next time round.

Have you tried the ninja notes? See my aud score below, I found that rewriting my notes multiple times (as much as I resisted it at first) helped to increase my score substantially.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

The trick with audit is the read the question carefully. One word can change everything. For example:

Verifying the inventory: means counting the actual inventory, checking billing records, shipping records and receiving records

Verifying the inventory count: means watching the employees count and making sure they don't count the same inventory twice.

See one little word can change the answer.
