Have I prepared enough?

    So I watched all my Yaegar lectures. Took notes. Wrote out Jeff’s NINJA notes. Did all the questions in Wiley’s test bank (scores average between 70-80%). Did all questions from Wiley and Bisk textbooks (same average). I am now rewriting my notes and doing the Wiley test bank questions again probably for the 3x. My test is in about 10 days. I think I should be averaging better on my MCQ, which is causing me to question myself. Or am I just getting nervous that I have not prepared enough and the test is right around the corner? Is there another resource I should prepare with? Help!

    Sounds like you're prepared. Just do more MCQs to reinforce the concepts. You'll do fine. Good Luck!!

    my test is about 8 days out and I feel the same way. What I am going to do extra is take the aicpa practice test, review some simulations, focus on my week areas, working on timing, make a formula only sheet and maybe major journal entry sheet and HOPE FOR THE BEST!!!!

    I don't think a single person ever feels like they've prepared enough. Sounds like you're doing just fine, keep doing exactly what you've been doing!

    Okay, now I really want to know.

    FAR is killing me. I just can't retain so much info at once. I'll do well on a section, but then forget everything in no time at all.

    I think my brain is full.

    Google. I used google.

    Started with CPAreviewforfree (which I found on google, just like I found another 71) and when you first log in, they give you a list of about a dozen or so topics that you can select to be quizzed on. I typed all 12 of those topics and googled every single bit of information I could find about them.

    I had no earthly idea what I was doing, didnt know any CPAs, was about halfway through my M.S. Accounting and wanted to see just how smart I really was (not smart enough to know better!) It was only after I passed FAR on my first attempt that I realized I had no choice but to see this through.

    Wow, mla! I'm impressed. That is absolutely nuts, but it worked for you for 3 sections so far. I'm using Becker, which is supposed to be “the best,” and I'm struggling big time! Maybe I should Google.

    Best of luck on AUD!

    Well I sure do hope we are BOTH celebrating #4 in a month and a half 🙂 Then I graduate in December (after 8 long hard years in school, starting the beginning of my undergrad). My kids are 18 and 12 now, its time they got mom back!

    Taking the exam while in grad school and with two kids!!! Wpw! I've got to hand it to you, that is great that you are able to do all of that. I'll bet your kids will be glad to have you back! 🙂 And I'll bet you can't wait to be done with school and this exam! You're almost there!!!

    T-rex, did you fee like Becker's AUD practice final exams were a good representation of the actual exam? Questions easier/harder? I took one for the first time and got an 86, 96, and 93 on the 3 MC testlets…..I just am wondering now if these questions are too easy, or if I'm well prepared?!

    @nolacpa

    That means you are well prepared. Becker is the best for Audit in my opinion. I did nothing from anywhere else then Becker and managed to pass the exam with 98. The questions in the becker practice resembles the actual exam. If you know the concepts behind it, you are good to go. Be careful though, read the questions carefully, do not hurry. If you read the questions carefully and understand it before answering it you will pass with flying colors.

    @nola,

    I don't remember much about the final exams for AUD or whether I even did them, but I will say that Becker prepared me very well for that exam. With those awesome scores though, you should be just fine!

    Good luck to you!
