    Hi everyone,

So I was wondering if anyone has studied audit for MONTHS (I plan for 3) and reviewed two weeks and passed. I am concerned about not retaining information. I record my notes and play it during my drive to work and back to help keep the topics fresh.i plan to leave two weeks to review all 4 areas.

I am asking because I am trying this approach for my next test date because frankly, I dk what else to do. I can’t seem to pass audit. Also, it’s taking me long to go through material. I take lecture notes and MCQs notes and it takes time. However, I am getting good scores on MCQs. I get to ponder on the topic and really get it.

I need to pass before busy season.

Everyone is going to be different. I personally studied for each section over about 2.5 months. I covered the material pretty slow, only studying about 10 hours a week. That being said, I did review really hard the last 2 weeks for each section. Honestly, time frame is probably a bad judge of, total time spent is probably a better benchmark.

Before the journey began, I planned to study for 3 months per section.
However, I actually studied 4 months for FAR, and 2 and a half to 3 months for other sections.
In hindsight, for AUD, BEC and REG, 2 months is enough. And for FAR, 3 months.

This is just me. Everyone is different.

    Hi,
I saw one of your comments where you mentioned studying for the CPA with Society of Business Practitioners Asia Division. How did that work for you?

I succeeded with 2 months studying and 2 weeks thorough re-read every chapter. Material was super fresh on the test date!

Hi all, thank you for your comments. I got my scores back today and failed with a 73. I am feeling defeated but also encouraged at the same time. I am not sure I can go higher then this on my next try but quitting is not an option.

I am still not sure if studying for that long was the best decision but I was so confident going into exam day because I know I studied long. I also feel confident going into my retake because I know i dedicated ample time to the topics not long ago and just have to practice my weak areas and review my non weak areas.

I won’t study as long for my retake. Will use Roger crash courses. Still working on my pan of attack.

I need to pass before busy season.

Study 6-7 weeks max for AUD. Never more than 8 weeks for any exam – even FAR. Diminishing returns after that.
