    Hello All,

    This is not my first post and ain’t gonna be the last one. I have asked several times on this forum and here I am again asking you all the same question again I guess. I have observed that quite a few people on this forum have been struggling their way out to pass audit, there have been those ninja’s who successfully conquered audit and help us to pass this mighty one .

    So hope it benefits my other Audit ninja’s

    So I just got my audit results last night and I failed miserably with 69 ( prior score 73-72) I studied like nobody’s business.My schedule

    1) read the Becker book and the Wiley book and understand what I read.

    2) solved mcq’s and took 30 mcq test topic by topic

    3) rewrote my own notes and ninja notes and utilized ninja audio in every spare time.

    4) also did mcq’s from cpareviewforfree

    I put so much effort in other parts I would have passed and I have passed them at first try except REG.

    But I don’t know what to do differently this time around because even if I am prepared my score does not show that .Yes I have to agree my weakest area are sims and looking for ways to master them

    Materials used Becker review and final review, Wiley test bank and book,Ninja 10 point combo.

    Should I buy Rogers cram and Gleim test prep & Sim wizard I am considering to buy both. Don’t have that much money but since this is going to be my last shot to save my FAR credit.

    I don’t mean to just post it again and again bad bug you guys but have no one else to consult other than you ‘ll . I know you all have been through this .

    I want to start fresh forget the failures and Just want to work harder than last time that’s all. best past of all this is my family support they still believe in me and that’s has given me this ignition to start,

    FAR- 79 -->Becker self study, Final review & Flashcards
    REG -72-->Becker ,76-->Becker plus Wiley test bank
    AUD- 73 Becker,72-->Becker+Wiley,69-->Added ninja notes,89 --> Added Gleim review
    BEC- 84 Becker plus Wiley Test bank

    I am Done !!!!

    You have enough materials; you're simply not able to effectively use them. Quality over quantity (unless we're talking MCQ's).

    You're very close to passing, but there's something that you're missing in regards to your mastery of the subject. And I think you are subconsciously skimming through concepts that you “feel” that you understand adequately and perhaps ignoring some concepts that you don't quite “get” 100%. If you've taken AUD 3x over and looked at the material 3x over, you're not studying effectively.

    My suggestion is to take a different approach:

    1.) Piecemeal your sections by roman numerals given in the Becker material. Read each section. Comprehend it. Know it so well that you can clearly and easily TEACH someone who little to no background in AUD.

    2.) Know why some answers are WRONG. Sometimes it's easy to pinpoint a right answer from a group of MCQ's, but can you clearly clarify in your MCQ's why the other 3 choices are wrong? Coming into MCQ's with this new view will keep your MCQ's fresh. Becker MCQ + Wiley Test Bank MCQ's is literally all you need.

    3.) IDENTIFY YOUR WEAKNESSES. Don't just brush them off. Know which sections you can explain in your sleep and know which sections that appear to be a bit vague to you even after reading it.

    You CAN do this. You need a new approach to the material; not new material itself.

    FAR: 50, 76!
    REG: 74... (ouch baby, very ouch), 76!
    AUD: 65, 91!?
    BEC: 80! Aaaand doneskies!

    May 2012 to August 2013. Can't believe it's over.

    Hey InferoOmni glad to see you around and still helping out .

    I think you have assessed my situation correctly! right now even I don't know where I am lacking.

    I think I am better off with math subjects like FAR and BEC but when it comes to theory esp AUD and that too in mCQ's format I think it hits me hard. if audit were a paper where I had to just write believe me I would be doing just great.

    I know audit but I think when it comes to test day and they test you on that tricky areas where some words in a sentence here and there can either make or break you gets me.

    I think will reread the book and will not leave a area where I feel blurred and work MCQ's with fresh approach .

    But I really need help with solving sims so I will consider buying Sims .

    FAR- 79 -->Becker self study, Final review & Flashcards
    REG -72-->Becker ,76-->Becker plus Wiley test bank
    AUD- 73 Becker,72-->Becker+Wiley,69-->Added ninja notes,89 --> Added Gleim review

    Buying more/different materials isn't the solution. Like Omni said you need to change your approach to the material. In what way to you learn/retain info the best? Do that OVER AND OVER AND OVER on all your weakest areas and spiral out to your strongest areas.

    Don't know what those areas are? When/if you get your score report please make layered circle diagram with the center circle being your strongest topics the next ring being your comparable topics and the outer ring your weakest topics. I would include FAR issues you had on prior tests and anything you feel will be applicable to future tests.

    You can get the make up of the major topical areas and the subsections directly from the AICPA or most review materials.

    AUD - (74),78
    BEC - 85
    FAR - 86
    REG - 84

    I feel your pain…studying my butt off…didn't increase my score at all 🙁

    From what I read on here, it seems to be the SIMs that are key for AUD

    Good Luck 🙂

    3XBEC:75 * 4XREG:82 * 4XFAR:76 * 7XAUD:77

    Is it the sims giving you the hard time? You should be able to use the AL for every single SIM, and if you're not able to that indicates that you don't have a good grasp of how to use the AL. On my 3rd and final attempt at AUD I left myself plenty of time for SIMS and every single one of them was practically a “gimme”.

    Other than that, you've done everything I did. I might suggest not taking the MCQs by topic, I think its a false sense of security when you're able to focus on one topic at a time and not switch gears question to question.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

    Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

    Thanks Iron_Victory for replying. Will get the score report in a day or two.

    Actually my Becker software expires at the end of month and I already have used their one time courtesy extension. I will still be having their Final review.

    What I am doing now is just starting fresh and will utilize their video's and watch them.

    So for MCQ”S and Sims i will just have Wiley Test bank hence was looking for some fresh set of those, hence considered the Gleim option coz they dont use Wiley test bank.. I know the Mcq's would be same here and there but keeping it in my option.

    FAR- 79 -->Becker self study, Final review & Flashcards
    REG -72-->Becker ,76-->Becker plus Wiley test bank
    AUD- 73 Becker,72-->Becker+Wiley,69-->Added ninja notes,89 --> Added Gleim review
    BEC- 84 Becker plus Wiley Test bank

    I think you already have your formula for success.

    You scored a 73 pre-10 point combo.

    Re-do that process exactly plus your 10 point combo.

    I don't think you need more videos – you didn't watch the ones you had for your retake and I think it contributed to your drop in score.

    Just my humble opinion – trying to help.

    It happens quite often – people are very close (73, 74) but don't redo exactly what they did to get there and score lower.

    @ G3 I have been reading your posts and yes Sims s what is breaking me.

    @mla1169 Yes this time i left myself 1.45 hours and was able to utilize AL for one sim. 2 sims were from FAR hence I dont know if i could have used . One of the sims was a repeat on both my prior exams and you know what I had found the way to solve them and I did the same on exam.Research question i was able to find i guess. Other 2 sims I tried to utilize AL but they were mostly application based not directly to be found in AL

    Also looking for an answer takes like lot of time in the ACTUAL exam so what i will do this time is use AL while solving SIMS when i practice them.

    FAR- 79 -->Becker self study, Final review & Flashcards
    REG -72-->Becker ,76-->Becker plus Wiley test bank
    AUD- 73 Becker,72-->Becker+Wiley,69-->Added ninja notes,89 --> Added Gleim review
