    Hi All,

I just gave my AUD yesterday..I had previously taken from NY twice..I do not remember the scores but I didn’t make it. A coworker suggested to change the state because NY has a lot of competition and hence lot of failures so before i gave up the idea of this CPA thing completely i decided to take it from VT. I do not know how this can happen but there wasn’t a single question that was more than a sentence long…does this mean I screwed up big time because I only got questions that were one or two sentences long? I remember when I took AUD a year ago the second and third testlets were filled with questions that were a paragraph long….and yesterday I swear I got the same question on review reports in all the three different MCQ testlets..wth? I feel like I did great and there was not a single question on sampling calculations or ratios..but im very scared to be happy because I have felt that Ive nailed it before only to find out that i missed it by few points πŸ™ Any similar experiences?

    AUD- Failed 3 times, 81 5/30/12
    REG- X3:(
    BEC-X1 πŸ™
    FAR-

Finally passed my first exam after 2+ years of agony! I refuse to give up! Bring it on!

I had a similar experience…….the 1st testlet was extremely easy and I blew through it in 15-20 minutes. Testlet 2 was only slightly more difficult than the 1st and testlet 3 was the hardest of all the MC questions. However, I only felt that they were a little tricky and not that challenging. The SIMS were ridiculous but I utilized the research tab to assist in answering the question. I felt completely confident leaving the testing center. But now I am not sure how to feel either. I only had 1 sampling calculation throughout the whole test. I want to be excited but I feel like I should not be…….I can completely relate to how you feel!

I'm curious whether switching states actually matters. The exams are administered and scored on a national level so I don't think (and I may be mistaken) that sitting as a VT candidate gives you any advantage over sitting as a NY candidate.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

dont5253 when did you take the exam? was it AUD?

Mla1169–you are right its on a national level..so states should not matter……can it be score release day already?!!

    As far as I know

Engagement letter does not have a due date–its the start of the audit that's when the client and the auditor agree to go ahead and start the audit process

Legal letter is usually dated as of the year end date of the client (if the audit is for 12.31.2011 the legal letter should cover the period of 12.31.2011)

The management representation letter however should be the same date as the date the report is released…

    Hope this helps!

    @nnenna,

The legal response should cover the period up to the audit report date.

    BEC - 10/12/2011 - 78
    AUD - 11/23/2011 - 84
    FAR - 02/22/2012 - 76 (I'll take it!)
    REG - 08/31/2012
