I’m scheduled to take my first section of the CPA exam (AUD) on 7/13/16. This is my first experience with the exam. I went through all of the Becker lectures, did all of the MCs and SIMs and now just continually taking the progress test at the end of the material. Any other recommendations on how to prepare as the date closes in? Thanks!

and i strongly suggest that you take the AICPA practice exam – it takes about 30 minutes and requires windows with internet explorer – it will get you familiar with exam interface and exam style sims. well worth the time.

then just make sure you print your NTS and have it for exam day. keep a copy so you have it for score release – you need the section id to get your score

show up early to prometric and have your id and nts ready. the check in process takes time and they will start you as soon as they are finished.

And don't stress over the Prometric appointment. Unless every single workstation is booked, which is unlikely, your timeliness will excite zero concern at the test center. But if you show up early, they'll let you start early. I've been able to start every exam section within 15 mins of arrival.
