    Hello everyone!

I am currently studying for audit. I have been doing pretty good with my studying, but then I hit some really bad days where I don’t feel like even opening up my book. I get so discouraged when I think I know that information and my quiz scores are that not good. Some days I just feel like giving up, I have taken audit before and I failed miserably. How did y’all get the motivation to keep going? How do I overcome my struggles?

    Thanks!

you just bite the bullet and think about the rosy reward once you pass. there is no easy way out. I wish I don't have to even open my book and pass but life would be too easy.

watch some movies, hang out with your friends or buy a customized stress ball. 🙂

You just need to buckle down. Like @adamantium said, there is just no easy way around studying. If there was, we wouldn't be so frustrated and manic during this whole process.

Good luck keeping your mind on task and focus on the benefits of passing. It might help motivate you in the short term.

MM- I focus on very small goals, such as making it through one section of Audit. Sometimes, thinking about the entire exam is overwhelming, so it is easier to break it into bite-sized pieces. It helps me to have some sort of reward for finishing a section such as watching tv, eating dinner, or checking A71.

Thank y'all, I have started taking it one part at a time. I take my test Oct. 4th, so we will see if all this studying paid off.

I have also incorporated taking one day off every week.

I have felt discouraged many times – especially when I thought I passed just to find out I failed 🙁

What I do to remain on task is the FFLAF method:

    Focus

    Focus

    Look Away

    Focus

I study, study, study for a period, look away for a little while, and afterwards study again.

You can do this in small increments (study hard a couple hours, look away for an hour and study some more)

But if you are on a study roll you can increase the intervals (study hard for a couple days, take a day to do something fun and the next day return to studying)

It has really helped me stick to it and focus on finally conquering the FAR and AUD monsters in the next windows!

    3XBEC:75 * 4XREG:82 * 4XFAR:76 * 7XAUD:77

    Also, my main motivation.

Do you REALLY want to do this again? Do you REALLY want to look at this material any longer?

Probably not, so buckle down and get it done.
