OK guys and girls, need advice on when to schedule my last exam (hopefully). Its a beast called AUD.

Do I schedule on Feb 28 where the release date is only a week a later or on March 10 where the release date is closer to two weeks?

I work full time and I’ve just been studying the last week or so.

Would you guys take the extra week to study or try and push to get it done sooner for the quicker release date? Thanks for the opinions and advice!

I had the same dilemma for my FAR retake. To take it by Jan 20 or push it all the way to Feb 13. I choose the latter and feel good about it.

If it is your first time taking AUD I would go with the March 10th test date if possible. Another week of wait will not hurt.

Thanks, that's what I was leaning towards as well. I just know a longer wait for score release is going to be absolutely killer this time because I could be done with the exam finally.

Yes, this is my first time taking AUD as well. Any contrarians out there?

Well, I am always an advocate for the sooner the better.. So I would say the 28th. If you have a week of studying under your belt that means you still have around 2 months to study for the exam. I am currently studying for audit and I am scheduled to sit 1/13. I gave myself about two months to study and I feel like it has been adequate time. I don’t like to drag out my study time because then I forget material. So if it was me, I would go for the 28th!

Either way, hopefully you pass and you will be finished! Good luck!! :)

Take it sooner if you know for sure you will have 10-14 days to review only.

I took the AUD exam after a month of studying the first time around without any review and got a 64. Then I spent about 2-3 weeks just drilling down Ninja MCQs nonstop and it helped me tie together all the concepts for the second attempt.

    REG 80 [07/27/2015]
    BEC 84 [11/25/2015]
    AUD XX [02/01/2016]
    FAR XX [05/30/2016]

So I should base the decision on my level of prep leading up to the exam and not on the release dates? If so I'm leaning towards taking the extra 9 days of study

Take it later. I don't understand the rationale of taking it sooner. I would understand if you were trying to fit in two exams in a single quarter but it is your last exam. You don't really gain any benefit of taking it sooner. It's not like you can take the exam again in the same quarter. Who cares if you get the score back 1 week or 2 weeks later. Both are hell of a lot better than the 10 weeks that the new format will make you wait. Your mindset should be to put this exam away once and for all. Just be as prepared as possible for the exam. A lot of review can be done in 10 days that probably bumps your score in the 80 range rather than in the 75 bubble. The last thing you want to have happen is to take it on the 28th and then fail and regret not taking the extra time to study.

Score release shouldn't matter (unless you will lose credit for a previous section, then it might.) If the extra 10 days of studying will make a difference, take it later.

    AUD 8/18/16
    FAR 11/16
    BEC 1/17
    REG 2/17
