I am tired of doing MCQs, reading, taking notes, going back and research the wrong ones, reading agian and doing SIMS.

My brian just can’t take this. All this studying is driving me crazy.

    How you guys handle it?

    Thanks for reading my post.

What got me through the worst of times was envisioning how great I was going to feel when I was done. I would literally sit there and conjure up the scene of me going on line and looking at my score and seeing that I had passed. Don't know if that is too hokey for you but it helped motivate me and keep me going. Also, if I was really tired and nodding off when studying I would take a quick nap. I figured that I wasn't doing myself any good if I had to read a section 3 times because I dozed off the first two times so taking a nap made more sense. Finally, I would plan my weekend to ensure that I had something fun planned even if it was only for an hour or two. Gave me something to look forward to and made me more productive in the time that I did study because I didn't want to feel guilty when I was doing something fun.

you haven't even taken an exam and you think you've got fatigue?!

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I've been studying since the beginning of June, almost every single day religiously, on a cruise, on the beach in mexico.

Took AUD july 23rd, BEC aug 31st, FAR will be oct. 14. You will experience true fatigue during BEC and FAR after AUD.

It only gets worse, AUD was the easiest to study for so far, by a long shot.

Stick with it though, you can get through the fatigue. Just fight it. That is what I've been doing and its been working. Your quality of study time will go down significantly but thats ok, just make sure to study!

I totally agree with hhiccd! BTW -congrats on being done!!

I get burnt out as well. I just keep thinking of the big picture–being a normal person. That sounds fabulous! Breaking up the study time really helps.

    Best of luck on Audit!!

You get used to it. You'd be amazed at what you will push yourself through if you want it badly enough.

I have been studying for this exam for a year. There were times I wanted to give up but i didn't and it has paid off. I've passed two and have come so close for audit. You will have good sessions and bad ones but just stick to it. I do agree though that studying for this exam takes a lot of dedication and determination. One of the hardest battles for me was to find a balance with studying 20 hours a week, helping with the kids, and working 40 hours a week. It's not easy but anything worth struggling over should be worth it in the end.

    Good luck!

When I was figuring out my study schedule, I decided to take 1-2 days off per week to relax, then take a week off after each exam to recharge. So far I feel it's been working pretty well for me since I haven't felt fatigued or overworked.

Of course, a relaxed schedule like this might not work if you are shooting for 3 or 4 exams in one window

Single mom with 2 teens and a full time job. I guess I know what fatigue is like. LOL. Liquid crack helps (aka coffee).

For what it's worth, I felt like AUD was the worst section to study for (so far). I'm a numbers guy and I absolutely HATED doing nothing but read up on a bunch of boring rules day after day. So if you are more into math, AUD is a tough one to study for and may cause “fatigue” out of sheer boredom. You might enjoy studying for FAR and BEC more.

Used Becker for all four parts. Supplemented it with Wiley Test Bank for FAR and REG (HIGHLY recommended) and NINJA notes.

    @Yvonne570

me too, I am a single parent with 3 kids and I work 40 hours a week.

Strong coffee sometimes helps me to stay awake, but not focus.

Thanks guys for all your input.

There are times I am so tired that I just go to bed only to wake up at 2 am and can't sleep either because I had so much caffene during the day or out of guilt/stress that I went to bed. I just get up, do an hour review and head back to bed. It helps a little.

I'm an auditor, and it's not quite busy season yet but the random days of overtime do happen. I study everyday mon-sun. Ends up being about 16-20 hours a week. During the weekend all i do is study or do chores and don't get to rest. I'm seriously exhausted. I'm the kind of person that gets fatigued easily so I can't imagine doing this if I were married and/or had kids. Yuck.

Staying focused on the goal helped. So did reminding myself that the misery wouldn't last forever, and that the harder I worked, the sooner I'd be done.
