Why people keep saying that because you cleared FAR you should not have or won’t have any trouble in AUDIT. Honestly while I am studying Audit I feel FAR was much better..Good mix of Math and Theory. Here its just a barren land of theory :).

But Is it true that if you are done with FAR, Audit should be easier…Because I am really finding hard time to get comfortable with material. 21st is the Big day for me with Audit…

Does anyone else feel the same or have a same views that my friends are saying….

    CA Candidate
    FAR: You are down...
    Aud: Surprised me...Thanks
    BEC: 75% work done
    REG: It's 80 but I am 100% done 🙂

Studying for AUD is much easier than studying for FAR IMO. I wouldn't say it is a piece of cake. Some people do well with math, some do better with words and theory questions. Knowing the FAR material does help a bit in understanding Audit though.

@funtiks, I'm hoping that's the case with me as well.

AUD has a much lower pass rate than FAR so don't take AUD lightly like many people do. Study just as hard for that one! And btw, none of the exams are easy.

    FAR- 82
    REG- 93
    AUD- 89
    BEC- 88

The passing rate for AUD shocked me! I thought for sure it would be ranked right behind BEC.

Audit is a dark horse… I've been an auditor for years, yet this was the exam that caused me the most anxiety. It didn't help that I had to wait 34 days to get my score! I also feel luck plays a larger role in the Audit SIMs compared to FAR and REG…some people get Audit SIMs that can be found in the AL word for word… mine were all in left field. Long story short, don't let your guard down, each section requires full dedication.

    FAR--(5/27/14) 90
    REG--(8/11/14) 90
    AUD--(10/1/14) 88
    BEC--(11/24/14) 89 Done!!

@wr8280, thank you for opening my eyes! Totally didn't believe you on the pass rates for AUD so went to AICPA website. Holy cow you weren't lying!

And It never helps when I hear auditors say they didn't pass as I rely on my auditing experience a lot when I study for this section. I have two weeks to go. I am officially making AUD my life. Which translates to instead of studying 25-30 hours a week I am now going to aim for every waking minute. Let's hope my boss doesn't mind.

AUD is “easier” in terms of amount of material and amt. of time it'll take you to study. But, as a non-auditor, it sucked. LOTS of memorization and mnemonics. I HIGHLY recommend Ninja Audio…Jeff taught me COSO and Internal Controls.

    AUD: 84 - Oct. 2013
    BEC: 83 - Feb. 2014
    REG: 91 - May, 2014
    FAR: 68, 96 - Oct. 2014...DONE

I took FAR and passed easily, then took AUD and didn't… definitely a myth in my opinion. I've actually found FAR to be easier than AUD and REG so far.

The truth of the matter is this:

All 4 exams are really difficult.

If you don't study, you won't pass. It's that simple.

    FAR - 83
    AUD - 73 92
    BEC - 83
    REG - 88
