Another failing posted on my scoreboard….im getting quite depress since this is my 5th time taking it and I cant seem to surpass the 60. I just want to rant on here since I dont know what to do anymore. I study so hard and knew the material but i dont know why can’t I pass this beast AUD….I know im not in the field of audit and reading everyone story from here it seems that if you study hard and doing all the MCQ then you will pass…..i did all that and I still here struggling.

Apparently, if you studied hard, you didn't study hard enough unfortunately. That's what's frustrating about these exams, you work your butt off and it turns out, you didn't put in enough effort. Ridiculous, I know.

My best advice is to use the authoritative literature for the Audit SIMs, I didn't know most of them either but Audit gives you way more time than you need so unlike any other exam it allows you enough time to look everything up. With REG and FAR you just don't have time and it doesn't help as much, in my opinion this strategy works best for Audit. The MCQ are just repetition and practice but the SIMs are mostly using the resources you have. Hope that helps.

    B - 85 (5/31/11)
    A - 93 (7/1/11)
    R - 87 (7/29/11)
    F - 77 (8/31/11)

I used Becker exclusively, I had the final review product and flashcards too. In my opinion the flashcards for AUD were the most helpful of any section. I made sure I memorized the standard report and looked over examples for all the reports. Other than that make sure to cover all the material, review notecards and do all the MCQ at least once. I think knowing the material in detail was the key to passing, but using the research tool for my SIMs was probably the reason for my score being so high instead of barely passing. So I guess its a combination of test taking strategy and knowing the small details including reports.

    B - 85 (5/31/11)
    A - 93 (7/1/11)
    R - 87 (7/29/11)
    F - 77 (8/31/11)

I used Becker review and flashcards, but also supplemented with Wiley Test Bank. Just hammer the MCQ home as much as possible. You cant really do too much to prepare for the SIMS. If you know the MCQ well enough you will be OK on the SIMS.

I was kind of lost on AUD at first and was very worried because I had talked to a friend who worked in AUD and failed the AUD exam her first time. After a couple times through though it started to click and I felt more and more comfortable. I would reccomend the Wiley Test Bank though as you will see a lot of questions not covered by Becker

    BEC - 86
    AUD - 94
    REG - 88
    FAR - 89

@v61312, If Becker wasn't working for you I would highly recommend the Wiley test bank to supplement. It seems like you might need more MCQ practice–in that case Wiley will do the trick!! Have you tried using flash cards as well? Those have been a huge help for me in this AUD process.

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

I just got my AUD score and I passed with an 89. All I did to study for it was bought the Wiley book. I read each chapter, then went through all the multiple choice and sims at the end of the chapter. When I was done with all the chapters, I read all of the authoritative literature outlines that were in the Wiley book. Then I reread each chapter and went through the multiple choice/sims again. I then took the sample test in Wiley (got an 80%) and then just did as many multiple choice as I could on cpareviewforfree

I agree with pshustler that the key is to just do as many multiple choice as possible. I saw a bunch of MCQ on my AUD test where I had seen the exact same question verbatim either in Wiley on on the free site. I even had the exact same question on my AUD exam 4 times (once in each sim and twice in 1 sim).

    AUD 89
    REG 81
    BEC 83
    FAR 86

Wiley test bank is all online. That's what makes it so wonderful is you can access the test bank any place that has internet! Once you buy Wiley (through this website because you will get a discount) shoot Jeff an email-he will provide you with you access information

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60
    FAR 75 (X2) Previous score 67
    BEC 79 (X2) Previous score 58

Is there any difference between purchase on here and on amazon? Interesting, these whole time i thought it was just a book with questions and not online. Do we need to install any program onto the computer in order to access it?

I failed audit bad on my first attempt and I am not happy, I blame it on the fact I rushed studying following FAR as to bit 2 tests into one window (only spend 3 weeks on audit). To be honest i felt really confident i passed going into the exam and after, so I understand being discouraged. I made my own flashcard, but I think I am going to buy the becker ones because I found the ones i made were really fantastic and having those for all topics would be very helpful for such a memory test.

Another post made a good point that there is alot of time on the exam, and to use the resources given on the SIMS to search for correct responses.
