Hello All,

I am very worried and stressed out and could you give me some advice? I just found out that I failed AUD by 5 points today. This is my 2nd attempt (my last section) and my first section will expire in a month.

I used CPAexcel software as well as Wiley Test Bank as review materials. And my score on Wiley Test Bank was around 80% before the test. I read all the chapters, however, I haven’t finished all the MCQs in CPAexcel software.

Based on my past experience, my real test scores are almost the same with my Wiley Test Bank percentage score and I was confident that I would pass this time; however, I failed with a 70.

I want to retake AUD at the beginning of October so I have fewer than four weeks left. Could you please give me some advice on my retake?

Should I focus on the MCQs in CPAexcel software or the study text? Do I need to purchase extra software as a supplementary materials?

Could anyone share their experience? I really want to get it done this time. How could I improve my score by 5 or 6 points in three weeks in AUD?

To be honest I would complete any and all MCQ I could get my hands on. I would focus more on MCQ than reviewing the lecture material. A 70 is pretty close and who knows, maybe your exam was skewed towards topics you struggle with. Hopefully in October it swings the other way in your favor.

It sounds like it may be the SIMs for you then. You're WTB score blew mine out the water. I would spend more time on the SIMs and may even buy the ninja mcq. Only try them one and the ones you missed twice. Sounds like you may have memorized some of audit which is easy to do.

I failed a couple of times with 74s because of those stupid sims! I would definitely practice sims and make sure you have a full understanding of internal control, specifically RMM.

I just got my score with 74. It's the third times I failed.. 1st is 73, 2nd is 72.

I got almost all different kind of sims… ratio, JEs, research…. since I took 3 times and the score report shows “weaker” in my sims..

Could you share how you practice sims for Audit? Thank you so much!!

Get the ninja notes. Copy them word for word 10 pages per day which should allow you to get through them twice. Also do 100 MCQ per day.

Sure FightingK, but I want to say I am still in shock of my audit score, I never test well. The scores that I could remember for Auditing were 54, 66, 69, 72, 74, 74, 74, not in that order. I actually got the 69 in July. On my latest score card for the multiple choice I was either comparable or stronger and my sims were weaker. For this last auditing test I did all the Becker sims multiple times as well as the WTB sims. I think for Auditing the WTB has like 31, I did them all multiple times as well. One of my sims was exactly the same! How are you with the multiple choice on your score card? And what review material are you using?

If you're able, I would consider purchasing either NINJA notes or NINJA MCQ's. I supplemented by Becker program with the NINJA notes, MCQ's, and audio. Most of the time when I was struggling to understand what Becker was saying, the NINJA materials cleared it up and made the information much easier to understand.

I'm in the same boat here. Scored a 70 and really ticked because I did not feel ready for the SIMS at all.

Anyone know if there's a way to try the Ninja MCQs before buying them?

Ruby Red – There isn't a way to test out the questions, but the video in this link (https://www.another71.com/introducing-ninja-mcq-adaptive-learning-technology/) was helpful when I was making the decision on whether to purchase them or not

@Megatron: I was using Becker with Ninja notes. I like Becker because the format of textbook and MCQs are easy to understand. I practiced some of Becker's sims, but I feel the sims is based on what level of understanding on the concepts. That's why I didn't practice sims much but focused on the textbook after finishing the MCQs.

For my score card, I got weaker on “Understanding the entity” and “Professional responsibilities”. Others are either comparable or stronger and total for MCQ is comparable.

I thought I did ok on sims this time, because I could find the answer for 2 research questions and feel ok for other JEs. Now I think I was wrong. So it kind of hard for me to correct it, since I thought I was right (research and JEs)..

My first passed section BEC will be expired next June and I still have 3 to go.. So I am also thinking to purchase Ninja MCQ for more practicing…
