Failed AUD. When Should I Retake it?

    Hi Everyone!

I got a 67 on AUD and I know the reason why I failed was because of those darn SIMs. The material is somewhat fresh in my mind but I’m in the middle of studying for BEC and scheduled to take it January 13th. My FAR classes start January 8th (so I’m already overlapping studying). I’m looking for advice as to when I should retake AUD. Right away? Wait? In January? After FAR? I’m so upset I can’t think straight!!!!

    Thanks!

I failed AUD on my first try back in August. When I got my score, I had already started studying BEC which was scheduled for October, and I had REG scheduled for November. My NTS for BEC and REG expires in January, so I had a similar dilema. Ultimately, I decided to push back REG to Janaury, and BEC to November so I could retake AUD in October (I wound up bumping it to early November due to schedule conflicts). I passed AUD on the retake with minimal additional study (about 20 hours). So from my experience, I highly advise retaking a failed section before taking any others if at all possible as the information is still somewhat fresh so less study is required.

    FAR - 79 - 07/2012
    AUD - 65, 78 - 11/2012
    BEC - 76 - 11/2012
    REG - 78 - 01/2013
    ETH - 98 - 01/2013

@noct- you only studied 20 hours for your AUD retake? I'm trying to plan out my plan of attack for retaking AUD and possibly also taking either REG or BEC in 1Q as well.

    ----------
    AUD - 74, 77! (1/2016)
    BEC - 80! (5/2016)
    REG - tbd (8/2016)
    FAR - tbd

Yes, I only studied for an additional 20 hours for my retest, but keep in mind that I had already studied for 60+ hours for the first try. Since I retook AUD without any other sections between, I was able to build on the work I had already done.

    FAR - 79 - 07/2012
    AUD - 65, 78 - 11/2012
    BEC - 76 - 11/2012
    REG - 78 - 01/2013
    ETH - 98 - 01/2013

    Material: Wiley books
