just found out I failed AUD with a 71…really thought I had the MCQ’s down. I was less confident about my simulations, but I know that I got at least 2 of the 7 correct since they matched up with the AL at least. my breakdown mirrors this somewhat:

it seems like I blew away this test except for the SIMS…am I reading this correctly? and if so, I must have done pretty bad on the SIMS to counter all my “stronger” areas, right? what is the best way to improve on SIMS since becker taught me NOTHING about how to prepare for these SIMS?

Honesty, the “Best Way” is just to use the Authoritative Literature Tab to look up answers just as you would in real life.

THE 300 CLUB WILL DO JUST FINE!

That's exactly how mine looked last time I took audit. This time I spent a lot of time going over sims so hopefully I'm prepared

perhaps I didn't make my question more clear…is there another supplemental program that has lots of SIMs practice to help improve this area? I feel that becker was lacking here and presented SIMS that were not entirely representative of what I actually saw on the exam.

SIMS are 40% of your grade. If you do “weaker” in those, it's virtually impossible to pass.

And take FAR before AUD …. but it's too late for that. AUD SIMS follow a lot of what you learn in FAR.

    Licensed Florida CPA:
    B: 71, 73, 79
    A: 83
    R: 78 (expired), 77
    F: 74, 74, 80

    It's finally freaking over.

You scored 71, you know your stuff. Try to do better at simulations. Its 40%…

No need for any further review courses or such. Just master the simulations and you do that by understanding audit via MCQ's.

yes…a little too late for that now. I'd like to re-take AUD as soon as possible since all the other information is still relatively fresh in my head. I am at a cross road here debating if I should re-schedule AUD for the end of May to make this testing window and focus fully on SIMS or whether I should just take AUD in July. seems like SIMS is my only area for improvement.

I know the right answer is probably take the extra time to re-study AUD, but I just feel like I have most of the content in MCQs handled quite well and waiting until July to take re-take throws off my schedule for completing all my exams in 18 months. I am considering going with Ninja and cranking out all SIMS. Am I being overly optimistic here by thinking that my score indicates I know the material pretty well, but just need to really focus on SIMS and get more practice there?

I agree with mhueycpa–Using the AL for every single SIM, not just the research one, saved my butt for AUD SIMS.
