    Hi:

I just want to ask something:

Does the loophole always work? I am from Puerto Rico and I tried to re-register for the AUD test in the morning and it didn’t let me do it. About an hour ago, it let me. Does it always work?

    Wait until Monday to try.

    FAR 92 - AUD 91 - REG 94 - BEC 86

So if it lets you re-register, you went in and found that AUD was not grayed out anymore? I don't know the specifics for Puerto Rico, but I checked out the site and it looks just like the NASBA states. I had that happen to me last time and got a 74. I don't have the nerve to check the loophole. If I check it and can re-register, I'd be sick the rest of the weekend. I am quite confident I passed, but I still feel horrible about this wait. I think it's completely unfair that other states are already receiving their scores. Whatever happened to UNIFORM CPA exam?

    AUD - 74, 87; BEC - 84; FAR - 78; REG - 79

@GSU Josh- I am waiting for REG still, and that score might not come to the NASBA website until Wednesday, maybe later. It is indeed sickening. Furthermore, it is possible that I am in wave 2, and would have to wait until late September! It's making studying for FAR unbearable.

But, does the loophole works for all the states???

Some people claim that it hasn't worked for them (NY is one I think), but the majority say it works. It's always worked for me. How did you feel about your test? Do you think you could have failed it?

Are you in a NASBA jurisdiction? If you could go in and check the AUD box, it doesn't look good. I'm sorry. This is why I can't get the nerve to check it.

@Christian – I'm in a NASBA state (Massachusetts) and the loophole did NOT work for me…. It allowed me to re-register for all of my parts but I clearly passed BEC…… and I haven't sat for 2 parts yet and I'm waiting on a score….. I'm not sure how it works in Puerto Rico. Good luck!!!

    FAR 7/2 - 88
    BEC 7/30 - 87
    AUD 8/27 - 80
    REG 11/12 - 96

IF the loophole still works… it woudn't work until Monday morning/afternoon I believe. There is no sense in worrying about it until then… if I were you I would just wait until your score is posted.

    FAR: 78 BEC: 79 REG: 86 AUD: 74, 83 DONE!!!

I know, but I want to know if the loophole has been wrong in occasions. Is this really reliable?

The loophole is never wrong. It's like saying, is the score that NASBA shows you wrong (you know, the one we constantly press F5 for at 9pm on release night)? It is NASBA data – if they have information that you did not pass, then it will let you reregister.

Where it can be inaccurate is when they don't have your scores loaded, but you are assuming that they do when you're checking the loophole. This is where it becomes tricky – if NASBA doesn't have your score loaded, then you can get various responses from the loophole that can constantly change from day-to-day. The fact is, there's no real way for sure to tell that NASBA has loaded your score. Candidate A could have their score loaded, and Candidate B might not have their score loaded until a day or two later. Candidate B could even call NASBA and ask “do you have my score loaded?” and their answer could not even be the final word. You just don't know for sure.

What if you have an extended expired NTS and NASBA has not yet uploaded the scores. Could this mean that it would show as “available” and let you re-register the section now…but then on the morning of the actual upload, your status would change from being availalbe to being grayed out? I'm sure the reverse would have to be true right? Let's hope.

It does not always work for NY. Not sure what other states is does not work for. Also, they need to post scores before you can check. Checking before the score has been posted does not give you an accurate response.

Christian – what time yesterday morning did you initially check the loophole? I remember last quarter, I checked at 6:30am on Saturday morning (scores were released Friday) and it would not let me register. Then I tried again at 8:00am and it let me register. And, what do you know, 72. Something was updated on Nasba website between 7 and 8 in the morning.

This time I can't register so I hope that is a good sign. But as some people state, it doesn't always work. I am in NJ.
