I have only taken one exam so far and that was BEC. Because it was only 2.5 hours I didn’t see the need for a break. Would you recommend a break for the other 3 parts? Specifically AUD which I am taking Thursday?

    Thanks πŸ™‚

    BEC - 53, 67, retake 2/28/11
    AUD - 54, retake 05/28/11
    FAR - ?
    REG - ?

These responses are 3 years old, so I'm wondering what the general consensus is now about taking breaks.

I plan on taking breaks between each testlet for my exam on Monday. I tend to be a fast test taker so when i took AUD in May i finished the exam with an hour to spare. This time I would like to slow down and refocus before each teslet. Generally I've only taken breaks if i have to use the bathroom but not between every testlet. My Prometric people tend to be pretty fast with checking you in and out for breaks and there never seems to be an overabundance of people taking the exams there.

I did not take break for my BEC or REG. But I have taken couple for AUD which was my first one and part of the reason I ran out of time.

I have FAR this wednessday but I think I would need atleast 1 break since its a four hour exam

    AUD - 78
    BEC - 83
    REG - 82
    FAR - 82 (11/22/2013)I am done!!!!!

I would take at least one break to re-energize.

    BEC - 5/26/2013 75
    REG - 8/31/2013 82
    AUD - 11/24/2013 74, 2/9/2014 92
    FAR - 5/25/2014 85

I usually take a break before the SIMs. A quick bathroom break maybe some water and then right back in. Everyone is different, if i was really tight on time i would skip it, but i have been lucky and always feel like i have enough time to take a 2 min break. It helps me get ready to beat up the SIMs

    A - 61, 91!!
    B - 78!
    F - 76!!!
    R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!

    Finally done!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

I didn't take a break for my first 3 exams…but for my 4th, I spent the 4 hours before the exam pacing Walmart nervously while tires were installed on the car that I had to borrow since mine wouldn't run, and then driving the hour-and-a-half to the test center and arriving within 2 minutes of when I would've been unable to take the test…so, with that test, I think I did the first two testlets just to make sure my time was working out, then took a break to relax my nerves cause that was the most stressful getting-to-test that I have had!

Other than that eventful day, I didn't feel the need for breaks, but if you think they'd help you, go for it!

I've never taken a brake…I guess it's for two reasons. I never felt the need to and I also wouldn't have had any extra time to anyway. I've always been working down to the last second for all of my exams…I'm not the type that ever finishes early.

I usually wait until the break window between testlets 3 and 4 (right before The Sims) and take a quick restroom break if needed πŸ™‚

However, I make sure to leave myself enough time and return quickly because I have to go through the whole sign in/sign out process πŸ™

I didn't take a break during any of the 4 exams. I drink light and eat something very small on the way to the exam (i.e. a banana or a granola bar). I make sure to use the restroom a couple of times at the testing center before I start.

Once I sit down, put the headphones on, and start the exam, I get in a zone and don't even have a clue of what's going on around me. Seriously, I can't even believe 3 or 4 hours have passed when I finish the exam.
