Do you guys read all the relevant AU materials?

    I’ve been studying AUD almost a month with Wiley Review Book, and AICPA Standards book. While I’m studying Wiley, it’s got just so many reference to AU, AT materials. Should I read all relevant AU, AT materials? I was okay with solving problems just reading some of important factos in AU, AT. Please share with me your study strategy. Thank you!

    I am not going to read all of that. I'm using Gleim and I'm just reading each chapter, working MC and then SIMS from each chapter. I take it on the 19th so I'll let you know how that strategy works out for me 🙂 Unfortunately I have strep throat right now and my eyes burn too much to actually concentrate on questions, so tonight is out for me as far as studying. Next week will really be cram. I usually wake up around 5:30, studying for an hour before my kids wake up and then study again after they go to bed from 8-10. When are you taking the exam?

    If you have the time, I would say to at least skim any of the standards you can. I used Becker, and in looking over just the AU standards after I took the exam I noticed there were a lot of minute details Becker didn't cover, but all of which are subject to testing on the CPA exam. If you're pressed for time, it might be too much for you do that. But after having taken the exam on Feb. 7th, if I could do anything over again, I would skim the standards cited in the study materials since they're fairly straightforward and cover some material that the study materials either gloss over or don't cover at all.

    By AU standards, do you mean the rules porton of the AICPA codes? I'm also using Becker and don't recall a section specifically on AU. I'm taking my exam on Saturday next week. I'm a little nervous because this is the second time for me and the last time I felt really confident going into the exam and didn't pass. 🙁
