Do I need to memorize transaction cycle flowcharts?

    Hey all,

I have audit scheduled for the 13th. I’m going through Becker questions/sims for the second time, and finished up A4 today. I seemed to do fine on the MCQ’s, averaged around a 90% on them the second time around for A4 (I got about a 78% the first time). Is it worth my time to memorize all the transaction cycle flowcharts? They just seem overwhelming, and I usually feel like I can “figure it out” as I’m doing the questions.

Basically I’m just asking for some advice on how to study A4 in Becker. I feel like reading the text is kind of a waste of time, but that could be my inherent laziness coming out.

    Thoughts?

No. It is not worth your time at all. Spare yourself.

    BEC: (4/2012) 88
    AUD: (5/2012) 91
    REG: (8/2012) 82
    FAR: (1/2013) 78 🙂

I could NOT master the transaction cycle chapters to save my soul either time that I took Audit. I was happy that I didn't waste my time either. I didn't get a rockstar score either time, but I passed. I focused on the big picture of the transaction cycles and focused on the most recently released questions in Becker.

    REG - 80 (Becker only)
    BEC - 76 (Becker only)
    AUD - 71, 76 (Becker only)
FAR - 65, 74, 81! (Becker, Wiley Test Bank, Ninja notes & Audio)

    CPA Class of 2012 🙂

You definitely do not need to memorize the cycles. I would recommend just looking over that additional page at the end of A4 where there is a summary chart. I was worried about it as well but if you just understand the basics and the direction of a transaction, that will be most important and helpful.
