I’m using Becker software to review and I am on the A5 Sims, Question #5. I’m a little confused on how I would know when to date the letter of audit inquiry as the explanations for the answers give several different date ranges and it is confusing me.

For the first question the explanation says “The legal response should cover the period up to the audit report date.”

For the second question the explanation says “The auditor should request that the attorney update the legal response for the period between January 21 – February 15, Year 2.”

For the fifth question it says “The auditor should request that the attorney update the legal response for the period between January 10 – February 15, Year 2.”

For the last question it says “The auditor should request that the attorney update the legal response for the period between January 20 – February 15, Year 2.”

The audit report date for all questions is Feb. 15, so that doesn’t change. I cannot find anything in the book that references the range the date should be. Does someone have any clue, or did I miss something in the book? Thanks for your help.
