I’m studying for the AUD section of the CPA exam and I’m currently using wiley, roger and Surgent. I feel that I have the MCQ’s down, but I’m struggling with the simulations. I want through all wiley and surgnet simaltions and some of roger
Are the these audit simulations comparable to the actual exam? I feel some simulations are pretty hard, and I want to gauge and see where I stand on the simulations in comparison to the actual exam.
    My exam in five days.

I am not sure how the new review courses stack up to the exam.
Hopefully they have adjusted since the format change in 2017.
When I was studying the SIMs were not at all comparable to the actual exams.
The closest thing were the AICPA mock exams – which I strongly suggest you look into.
But even those were like decaf SIMs compared to the real thing, both in the number of supporting docs, as well as the length and difficulty of the tasks being asked. If you can do the mock SIMS with relative ease, you should be good to go for the actual exam SIMs.
There were a few questions that were extremely similar in context on the sample SIMs on the AICPA website, so you should be able to pick up some easy points if you have those sample SIMs down pat.

i tried the sample SIMs on the AICPA website and they are similar to the ones that i did with (Roger, Wiley, Surgent), also the format is similar.
i am actually afraid that now i am used to these SIMs and in the exam it will be different and too difficult to solve.

Very similar format, just more docs, and more junk/distractor information, especially in the attached docs.

    READ THE QUESTION very carefully.
I spent 15 minutes answering a question that the exam wasn't even asking.

Take your time, read it thoroughly and carefully, preview the docs, then reread the question and go find the information relevant to each question and answer it.
If you have no trouble with the sample AICPA questions, you will be fine on the exams. All about self confidence- don't second start second guessing yourself now. As Roger says, if you study, you WILL PASS!!

    Have you taken FAR yet?

    Thank you for your advice,
No, I did not take the far; actually, I am a finance graduate 2020, and I decided to take the CPA so I can expand my knowledge in the field that I am currently working (i work as an auditor), so that is why I started with AUD.

I agree, I would always do the AICPA exam a couple days before the actual exam. I felt like I did see some similarity and some easy points by doing that. I think the SIMS in the review courses are good at helping to prepare you so that you know how to answer when it comes time for the actual exam. Also practicing the sims help reinforce the concepts. Just keep practicing and you will go in there well prepared to knock it out of the park.
