    Hi everyone,

I’m taking Audit in about 2 weeks.. and am just starting studying. Yikes! But I have no job and no family to take care of, so hopefully with a bit of dedication, I can pull it through.

I have all of Roger’s books and videos downloaded, but they are outdated (2010) and I can’t afford to renew it. Any idea how much new material is on there?

    AUD – taking 5/24

    FAR – 71, 72, just took again…

    BEC – 76 (expiring 5/28)

    REG – 92

I have 2011 Becker but also using 2010 Wiley book and to be honest, there are no changes and no differences between 2010 and 2011,

! HOWEVER- remember Accountant Independence & Reponsibilites are tested PLUS International Auditing Standards.

My recommendation, go buy Wiley 2011 book ($40 online) and it will have this additional info then you will be good

I also prepared for AUD in 2 weeks. I took FAR 4/1, started studying AUD that afternoon and took it 4/15. Right now I don't have a job or children at home so I was able to put in a lot of hours studying during those 2 weeks and feel like I did OK on the exam. The main thing about AUD is to know the material in detail. The concepts aren't that hard. I also recommend getting the Wiley 2011 book. In addition to the topics already mentioned, there are also some additional governmental standards. You could probably find all this stuff online, but it'd take time you don't have. I'd also recommend using a test bank. I used Wiley which was pretty good, but I've also seen a lot of positive comments about Gleim. The more MCQ you do the better. There's a little overlap between the book and the test bank but not very much.

    Good luck!

    FAR 4/1/11 - 89
    AUD 4/15/11 - 85
    REG 4/29/11 - 80
    BEC 5/13/11 - 85

I just took audit. Due to the change in exam format Becker allowed those with 2010 material to a free upgrade. Granted I wanted a printed book so they charged me $20, but as far as changes, the only one of note is the inclusion of International standards.

There is a new section in the text book to be used after July 1, but it is not relevant as you are sitting now.
